How on earth are you able to spot a "potential new owner"... unless they have a tag around them saying "potential new owner" it could be anyone. if you see the original photo, the guy walking next to Keane has a large swagbag over his shoulder, Father Christmas style, written on the bag it clearly says ' up to £200M ' the jury is out as to whether the words 'up to £200M' were shopped on later

I've got to admire the way that somehow they changed the rules. Way back in the old days when Villa were good and everybody wanted Jimmy Saville at their party you got to be king by calling out the guy that was currently king and killing him. Then, somehow the present bunch got in and announced 'hey, not cool people', You can't go killing royalty. We fell for it. Now this bunch of monarchs get to stay monarchs. No relegation. In a true conservative Britain we'd all be able to bid in the next round. I'll wave at people from a car or a balcony for 9 months of the year and only charge £150,000 a month. Nice thing is, I've teamed up with G4S and if I get the gig I'm just going to employ some students and misfits to do a bit of occasional waving for me and charge it at the same rate.

I found their whole attitude greatly improved on my last visit. Essentially, there was a great big neon sign as I drove out of Calais that could be summed up as 'will dance for cash'.

That silly glory hole experiment is beginning to look like a bad idea!

I have tickets for a pre release screening of the final episode of the current series of Da Vinci's Demons. No, no, that's not what has cheered me up, I'm quite ambivalent about that. The screening is in the 1930's constructed lecture theatre within the National Museum and I've never been in there before. So I'm looking forward to sitting there admiring the architecture whilst a bunch of pretty boys take questions from the audience.

yep Trees is right it's your own interpretation of whatever you choose to believe in To chip in with my own anecdotes, on my way into work I regularly pass some christian fundies shouting the odds about abortion and gay marriage and trying to impose how they want to live on other people. By the same token I'm currently working with some gentle people that are setting up a community garden and coffee shop in the hope the local community will take it up and run it all themselves so they can wander off and do another project. It's all about gangs and power and education and prospects and flags and all that jazz. Elsewhere in the world it's reds against blues or russian speakers against non-russian speakers or whatever the crazies can find as a divide.

Very moving, I shall adopt this as my personal philosophy. (smiley here to show no malice intended!)
