  1. yay! result went on a website to grab tickets for Alabama 3 and found this gig next Friday free does rather compensate for Alabama 3 being £25 (most I've paid for a gig in a few years but worth double)
  2. odd thing is, I don't know anyone that would profess to liking them, but I'm constantly told how 'iconic' they were
  3. 'beyond nerdy' Can you guess which word I would replace this with? virgin?
  4. tailor made for you sunshine... (for the record, other than that 'I would go out tonight...' song, I don't think I know anything else by them, nothing that springs to mind anyway)
  5. any good? got access to record shops tomorrow....
  6. I have to say I'm with you on this one. I know they have a massively bad reputation but in speaking as you find, they've been very good. We organised home and away friendlies against them, we were treated very well down there. For our home game the local police decided it had to be behind closed doors due to their reputation. As the idea had been to raise a little money Millwall gave us a cheque for a few quid which they didn't have to do. They also applied for about 100 / 120 press passes, but oddly when the press turned up they were all mid twenties and wearing the stereotype burberry. But again, were well behaved and chatty and interested. Fair play to 'em, I'd invite them again.
  7. Bought my house 12 years ago when it felt expensive. It has since more than tripled in 'value'. I certainly couldn't afford to buy it now had I waited. It's a bit of a lottery and anybody giving any advice on what will happen in the future is just guessing.
  8. Rob, that would be a good plan except it's my car (which he drives, I pay for and now I don't need as I work in London - brilliant). Anyway, anyone know any good looking, financially stable, eligible bachelors who aren't complete knobheads? There's your first mistake: good-looking, financially stable, single men, who are not knobheads, have just too many options for a viable long-term relationship. Find some guy who is the pleasant side of hideous, who who will bring a bit of gratitude into the relationship and give you all the power. Okay, he won't impress your mates but low maintenance is always the way to go, in the long-term. Wow, as if I wasn't depressed enough already . So what you're basically saying is that there's no chance of me having a relationship with anyone vaguely eligible, and I should just cut my losses? Excellent. you could just console yourself with a year of hookers and booze then get yourself on plenty of fish and look up my mate Stephen Scuba
  9. I believe the Shaolin Academicals played a couple of ringers and were ex communicated.
  10. Most of the things that excite me are covered by The Boring Thead. I think you'll find the boring thread is policed by a bunch of spotty adht types that still see a colourful baseball cap at a jaunty angle and visible underwear as coool.
  11. well I just looked it up, yes they do have recognised sovereign statehood and yes they do have a national football team however, they are not recognised as a footballing nation by FIFA - just like the United Kingdom
  12. he'd have been **** if the Vatican had qualified in more ways than one
  13. Could your office section compromise and just cruise the streets at night in a police car shooting the homeless?
  14. Rob, that would be a good plan except it's my car (which he drives, I pay for and now I don't need as I work in London - brilliant). Anyway, anyone know any good looking, financially stable, eligible bachelors who aren't complete knobheads? self assessment, I just scored 1 out of 4 I'm a bit of a looker, but I'm also a bankrupt married knobhead.
  15. Have we established yet if it's a man or a woman 'friend'? Careful you don't just end up making drinks and sucking toes. We've all been there.
  16. don't fret VA, at the end of the day he's the one who's been tricked into sending knob photos to some fat bloke in Kidderminster

  21. it's all about the money Will it cost FIFA more to stick with Qatar or to move it? If staying with Qatar costs money then frankly the reasons will spill forth, 1,00 construction deaths, bribery, life threatening heat. If leaving Qatar is too expensive well then they were only Bangladeshi's we'll get some more, the money was never proven and was for orphanages anyway and guaranteed sunshine will be nice.
  22. you know you need to know the intricate taste of a cold goat curry
