  1. Prediction time from me. The referee - Jon Dross - will find out at half time that he f**ked up with the penalty decision. He will wait until around the 75 minute mark before sending off one of their players to "atone" for his error.
  2. Grealish is playing like he's already on their books.
  3. When we go down, the only saving grace is no more VAR. We might actually go into games on a level par.
  4. Seriously, McGinn has come back and is way off the pace of post-lockdown football.
  5. Can I please have Super John McGinn back because this John McGinn is far from super right now.
  6. F**king cheating VAR. No way is that a penalty. Absolute bullshit decision all around. On the other hand, Trezeguet needs to score that chance. It was a poor effort.
  7. We have to make more of these crosses and chances we are creating.
  8. I cannot bring myself to watch the ore-match build-up tonight. Against Sheff Utd it was a wankfest about how they've superceded all expectations and the job Wilder has done. Against Newcastle it was all about Steve Bruce and if he can impress the new owners. Against Chelsea it was a wankfest about Frank Lampard and his incoming signing Timo Werner fitting in. Against Wolves it was all about Nuno and the Wolves charge for Champions League football. Against Liverpool it was a wankfest about them winning the league and getting to 100 points. I guarantee tonight will all be about Man Utd getting Champions League football again and I bet they have Roy Keane (ex both) and either one of Micah Richards, Dion Dublin or Patrick Evra. All waxing lyrical about the job Solskjaer is doing. We play Palace next - maybe that's when they'll start talking about Villa.
  9. Brighton are playing a level of football that we simply have not seen from Villa for nearly all of this season.
  10. We still need 7 points. We have to beat Palace and West Ham and draw against Everton. If the players want to stay up then they should be capable of that.
  11. Is Kevin really that bad a first name that you'd prefer to be called Tammy?
  12. No way we are scoring in every game we have left.
  13. Sheffield United are where they are because of continuity. Norwich were the same when Lambert took them up and look what happened to him. Smith hasn't had that luck at Villa. He's had to rebuild a whole new team for multiple reasons and it hasn't worked out. If we stayed up this season and added a few decent summer signings there's no way we'd be in the same situation next season.
  14. Yorke(L) Benteke (M) Saunders (R)
  15. Dean Smith is one of us, no denying. He's going to do his all to keep this club in the Premier League. But, if the players aren't good enough there's not much he can do. Could another manager with more experience have done better, possibly. But, in my opinion, the lack of experience everywhere across the club has resulted in this struggle for survival. I have no doubts in my mind that if we go down the player recruitment will include a few more older/wiser heads in the team/squad. Also, if the owners decide to stay with Deano, I think that he will want more of a say in player recruitment both next season and if we were to go back up.
  16. I don't agree with you often but I think you hit the nail on the head here. We won't beat Man Utd, Liverpool or Arsenal. Hopefully, Everton, Palace and West Ham have nothing to play for when we go up against them and we fight for points in those games.
  17. Odds of 50/1 on a 6-0 to Liverpool looks like free money. Sorry guys but anyone thinking they are taking lightly will be sadly mistaken on Sunday. Klopp will be seething at that tonight and Villa will be on the receiving end.
  18. The only chance we would remotely have of getting anything at Liverpool would be if we attacked them with free-flowing football and movement around their box as that's how they got beat tonight. We have none of that so expect a red onslaught, Villa going a goal down within 10 minutes, heads dropping after the second followed by a further three or four.
  19. We really could go the rest of the season without gaining another point.
  20. We have to beat West Ham last game. Prior to that, we need to pick up at least 1 win and a draw to give us any hope. Beat Palace and draw v Everton.
  21. Nail.on.the.head. Tammy owes us so bang a hat-trick in tonight together with 2 or more from elsewhere then hope that Everton's players go down with the plague tomorrow together with all Leicester City players and end this torment.
  22. Well, if those two players are playing at a higher level it means that three clubs will go up without them, why can't we be one of them? Norwich will go down and lose the likes of Jamal Lewis, Max Aarons, Todd Cantwell etc so won't be the same force they were last time around. If we go down, it'll probably be one of Watford, West Ham or Bournemouth with us. They will all have their best players cherry-picked from them too. Watford and West Ham will be paying huge wages so will have a fire sale to survive. We just have to make sure we plug each hole with the best possible/attainable replacements.
