Don't worry mate, I think you're not alone in never seeing a Villa player live. In fact, from some of the things you read on here, there may be a few that's never seen them at all.
Imagine if Jizz Hornkamp fella was playing in a game against Rod Fanni....
That was a sloppy tackle by Jizz on Fanni.
Or the tough tackle..
Jizz went in hard on Fanni there.
I'd be erect all game and that would be just from listening to the commentary.
dont go there dude, seriously.
Maupay seems like the better option on that first season basis but let's see how they work out at the end of their respective contracts.
Last summer we bought a whole new forward line - Trezeguet, Wesley, ElGhazi. This summer it looks like we are doing it again - Rashica, Watkins, Traore.
We got what we wanted plus a new attacking right back and a younger, international goalkeeper thrown in.
Are we happy? I am.
Just out of interest guys, for those who probably know a lot more about Rashica and foreign football than I do, would you class this a marquee signing if it happens?
Also, who would people suggest was the last bigger name we signed than this (in terms of reputation - not letters in name).
Probably for the same reason that I can't resist having a look after I've had my usual get-up-in-the-middle-of-the-night piss. Although, the chance of seeing titties could also have something to do with that
When we were linked with Konsa last summer, England u21s were playing in some tournament. I watched it and Konsa was playing CB. I thought he looked rubbish and hoped we didn't sign him.
Before lockdown, I saw nothing to make me feel he'd never be anything more than cover for a starting CB.
After lockdown, he came in at RB and did OK all things considered. He earned the right to a CB position and I thought he did surprisingly well.
Last game against West Ham. In the tunnel before the game, Konsa is stood there looking all steely-eyed with the camera focused on him and he looked like he was up for the challenge and meant business. I said to the guys I watched it with that you could see that Konsa looked really psyched up for it and mean. I like to see that in a defender.
Maybe playing alongside Mings has given him a target to aim at both physically and mentally. They could form a really decent partnership this season.
