  1. That post reminds me of the mardi gras in New Orleans where you use beads (stuff) to fish for tits
  2. I love how Deano tells it just like us - a real fan not hiding his thoughts and feelings. Well done Deano. I'm sure you called him by his real name Teewat.
  3. Spot on Trent. Mings eliminates that massive pile of shite reffing if he just heads it clear. It's becoming a trend that our defensive errors usually have Mings associated with them.
  4. Brilliant display from Matt tonight. I love the way he's developed into one of our two best defenders - Konsa being the other!
  5. He tried to pull his arm away from a yard away. That's no penalty either.
  6. That is absolutely offside. Robbed against both Manchester clubs - the **** tosspots. I hate how corrupt the refereeing is in football. I don't care if they had a million chances to our none, that was offside and there is a system in place to overrule that. It's a fix.
  7. I saw him mentioned in the pre-match build up online but couldn't get a bet on for first scorer.
  8. Like others have said, Bertie is too slow to see the danger and has left Cash exposed over and over. Villa need to get him help out there as that has been their main threat to us. My other concern is how many times they've managed to find one of their players standing unmarked centrally, 20 yards from our goal. On a wet surface any low shot is going to trouble Emi from there. We've had our chances but, unfortunately, Barkley's final ball has let us down. I wouldn't change it yet. I'd see how Bertie does for the first 10 minutes and if he doesn't get a grip I'd change him for El Ghazi. It's a shame as this is definitely the kind of game that would have suited Trez. Watkins and Barkley need to work harder closing their back three down and we simply need to make the right decisions and be more careful with the ball when we go forward with it. There's definitely hope for a goal or two for us if we are better with the ball. Come on Villa. Show them what you're made of in the second half.
  9. I can't wait for Deano to get us to 40 points so that we can play without any fear and all the freedom in the world. Then we will see just what Dean and his lads are made of.
  10. Ezri Konsa is the only outfield player to have played more than 1000 minutes in the Premier League this season without being dribbled past. https://t.co/b0Ey3sEUbj Says it all really.
  11. Agreed. He lacks that Premier League experience but that will come. He needs goals - his play deserves it.
  12. Fantastic post mate! The last paragraph is just so true. Matic made three fouls before being carded. Fernandes made at least three or four but no card. Pogba three or four but no card. I'm sick of refs booking our players after the first foul then allowing opposing players to make three or four fouls before showing a card. Jack is next level. My Dad said tonight "they rely on Grealish too much because of how good he is". I said to him "what do you expect? Do you think Barcelona fans moan if the ball keeps being given to Messi to do something?" Like I said to Dad, if we had Messi playing for us we would be screaming for the players to give him the ball. Jack's so brilliant the other players simply have to get him on the ball.
  13. I love Deano but, tonight, I thought his first sub was wrong. Yes, take off Traore but, I would have moved Watkins wide right and put Davis on up front. It wasn't the right game to see Ramsey come on and it showed. We ended up rectifying it by having to take off El Ghazi and by doing that he took off both of the guys who have been scoring for us lately.
  14. El Ghazi and Traore are still not getting back to cover enough, for me. Mings still looks the dodgiest of the defenders and has done all season. Need Jack to get on the ball more and drive at their defence. Watkins needs to be stronger and make more space for himself. We're unlucky to be behind as we were well in this when they scored.
  15. Can anyone remember a Villa keeper in Premier League history that caught the ball as much as Emi does? I know he's a giant but blimey does he have great ability at catching a football.
  16. Yep, we've finally got Super John McGinn back.
  17. Brilliant this season. Looks totally composed every game he plays.
  18. Absolutely! Who has played better than Ezri this season? Nobody! I've mentioned it before but, watch the build up to that game against West Ham, at the end of the season. He was totally psyched in the tunnel pre-game. He looked insane. He's definitely matured as a player and a man.
  19. Said it before, who, in this team, do you actually dislike? They're all very like ale characters and players. We're blessed right now. It'll only get better. Dean had an eye for the right kind of character and that seems as important as anything to us right now. You see nothing but love and respect between the players online. Tonight, Deano mentioned that it takes being in this league for 3 to 4 years before you see real depth in a squad. Imagine us after 3 or 4 more transfer windows if we keep spending £100m in each?
  20. I love what he said before tonight's game. When asked about not changing the team from that which played against Palace he said he asked the players and they were all up for the game. He also said no player ever got stretchered off with fatigue. I love the man and hope he manages us all the way through to the days when we lift trophies.
  21. El Ghazi has always had quality. I think people doubted his bravery and desire to fight for the cause. He's shown that in his last few games by tracking back and really helping out Targett. In fact, I think he does that better than Jack does and maybe that's why Targett has looked so much better? Great turnaround Anwar. Brilliant performances and scoring the goals too = well done
  22. What did you think of the Villa performance tonight?
  23. Absolutely. Not only does he love and care about the club but, he believes in his players. What a great manager he must be to work for!
  24. Mings was only missed for his distribution from the back. Otherwise, Konsa and Hause were fine defensively. Traore switched on more second half and did his job of defending, fair play to him. El Ghazi got his customary goal. Our full backs were solid - again. Martinez was solid as usual. Luiz and McGinn hot through some work with McGinn the more combatant and unlucky not to score - MOTM. Watkins had his usual busy game but had no sight of goal. Grealish had a quiet one by his standards but was still a threat when in the final third.
  25. We are a much better team this season. Add 2 or 3 more real quality players to this squad and we're challenging for Europe. Rashica in January please.
