The more I read about this from the Man City side the more it looks to be happening. I just read a City Twitter account where they report the negotiations are all about how Villa want the money paid up front in one go with no add-ons or players involved. Also claims they have Jack scheduled for a medical next week. If true, I just hope we spend the money wisely and he goes there and wins fook all.

If Jack goes and we have £140m to spend can we please have Bailey £35m, Alvarez £20m and keep the rest towards a stadium revamp. Buendia, Alvarez and Bailey behind Watkins sounds pretty good to me.

I got in from work tonight and I said to my girlfriend "Man City have bid £100m for Jack Grealish" to which she replied "I know, I heard". My 7 year old son was playing a game on his switch when he suddenly said "they can't bid £100m for him Dad, he's priceless!". Now, you may think my son watches Jack or is an avid follower of football but, he's not. Much to my frustration my son isn't into football - it's not his thing. He has never watched a game or been to a game. But, he knows I love Villa and wants them to do well for me. He said he supports Villa and when he knows they're playing he asks me if they've won. However, the one thing he does know for sure is the greatness of Jack Grealish and how much the Villa fans love him.

Nah, I agree with you, regardless of the booze. I'm fed up with us having quality players and the likes of Manure, Citeh, and Red scouse pinching them off us. We have top owners now. If Jack says he wants to go I hope the owners tell him it's tough shit and he's honouring his contract to the club he supposedly loves.

Please help guys! My brother's birthday on Sunday and I want to buy him the new away shirt. I haven't previously bought any Kappa shirts so not sure how true the fits are. So, my bro is a fat bugger and a size XXL usually. If I buy the match shirt rather than pro version, would a XXL be the same to a normal XXL shirt from say Next etc? Or, do I need to size up?

I have also been thinking along these lines. Why would we sell our prized asset and club captain when he's got a 4 year deal remaining? Unless, when he signed on last year it was with a release clause and a written promise we'd listen to offers this summer. I doubt it though. To me, if he leaves it's because it suits our club - not Jack.

Is anyone else bothered by the rumours we're going to offer him £200k pw to stay? We've not won anything with him for him to earn that kind of money from us. I think that sets a rather dangerous precedent for any incoming stars we chase in the near future.

I agree with this. Jack has won nothing with Villa. All he's done is Captain the team to a promotion back to the Premier League. However, he also played in the team that got relegated. He's the best homegrown talent we've produced in an eternity but he won't achieve legendary status at Villa unless he wins something with us. Either that or he stays and becomes a lifer. Jack, if you leave us before winning something with us it could lead to the club going backwards. Your talent is immense and it means more to us than just the playing side. Your selling the club to each and every corner of the globe now via your image. Leave and that could set the club back on its journey back to the top. Stay and you can help us reach that. As a Villa fan, if you were supporting right now and not a player, would you want to see yourself leave? How would you feel about that as a fan? I hope Jack stays and gives his everything for the club for all his career.

If we bought Alvarez he could start as a right-sided forward and deputise as striker when changes are needed. He'd be my main hope right now.

I suspect he is frustrated at the time he's been out and that he probably suspects himself that the injury is going to prevent him being the player he promised to be. I wouldn't be surprised to see Villa sign a striker or attacker that can play up front and then loan Wesley out somewhere to see how he gets on.

We are NOT selling Jack. Jack and Tyrone have been away on international duty with England. If Jack was leaving, do people seriously think the club would use him to model the new home shirt? No way! They'd have released it sooner without them both and blamed their absence on their involvement with England. The club knows that most shirts bought would have Grealish on the back so there's no way they'd have allowed that to happen knowing he was leaving.

The proposed team fails to feature Jack yet again. I guess he will only get some game time if the team is struggling to break through the Danes and need a goal. Jack would get into any other nation's team with his talent. It must be so frustrating for the lad.
