  1. 3 points for me. Southampton and Arsenal to net around 6 between them without reply reply and score draws in the other three.
  2. I know it is. I guess I am saying that, even if we did stay up by some miracle, we would probably lose the man who made it happen and we would probably be facing the same situation next season. I think I would rather we just get it over and done with, if nothing behind the scenes is going to change.
  3. Tell you what concerns me. Say a miracle happened and we somehow stayed up, Garde will be a much lauded manager and I could see another club coming in for him. If that happened, and I was him, I would be off in a flash. We would then be left looking for a new manager and a summer of YouTube videos to know more about our new signings. The inevitable will happen whilst Lerner is here.
  4. Richard, why don't you say what you feel mate . To be fair to you Rich, you saw through Charles Krulak's spin all along, or at least it seemed that way.
  5. Just think guys, if Walsall, Coventry and Burton all got promoted, there would be 7 midlands team in the Championship next season. If we do go down, that's 14 local derbies out of 46 games. One every three point something games. If the dreaded thought did happen, at least there would be some interesting fixtures waiting ahead. Also, we all have to remember that Villa would be the only club playing in that league with a handicap. +6 points courtesy of SHA
  6. My advice to Remi Garde would be this: 1) Pick the best team you can according to each game. In other words, don't go gung-ho against the likes of the Manchester clubs, Chelsea and Arsenal. Protect the goal difference in those games, if possible. 2) Against all other clubs, just go for it. Play Traore out right, Ayew out left and Gil behind a striker. I wouldn't even mind seeing N'Zogbia playing left back with the hope of seeing a few more crosses into Gestede. If we are to go down then let's do it by trying to the win the game and, by trying to show some real threat. Try to give us a sign that, if we do go down, there is hope for next season at least. I think that is all the fans can really ask for between now and the end of the season. After that, whatever will be will be. The fans know who the real reasons behind our plight and won't give you too much stick, if any, if you play the right team in the right games.
  7. I think the best thing Lerner can do is to find a new brains trust who have real football knowledge. It would also be interesting to hear his opinions of our current plight. Maybe the players would care more about their club if the owner did.
  8. Based on the above claim that we're not a club that makes a profit, would relegation put us at risk of ever going bankrupt? I mean, income will be down considerably surely.
  9. If he loves the club that much he'd knock the piss-ups and late nights on the head and fully focus on playing his best for the Villa, in the hope of keeping us up. Whilst he's at it he can tell Gabby to put his cock away too!
  10. You won't ever be joining Man United playing the way you are! Seriously, what's happened to the player we saw in the first few games?
  11. You could still be proved correct Richard, when we're mid-table of the Championship.
  12. Good question Richard. He looks to me like a man that would walk away if he thought it was better for the club. But, would stay if wanted by the fans and board. I think he's intelligent enough to pick good teams so I doubt the fans will turn on him because I think the majority are finally beginning to see the bigger picture and the real cause of our problems.
  13. He cannot organise a defence right now. It may come with more experience of playing CB but it'll be too late for us. For the first goal, isn't that Richardson looking along the line and playing Ighalo on-side? That's the issue for me with that goal. Second goal, Richards charges out to try to block a shot so Hutton needed to drop off on the cover and, Clark should have got tighter to his man. Third goal was disgraceful from Clark. If you're defending a ball coming out of the air in your own box you get up to meet it, you don't let it drop to you. Also, did Richardson give him a shout to let him know Deeney was running in behind him? All round poor defensive show that would have been far worse if not for the great saves of the far too overworked Guzan.
  14. Villa fans should just accept that we are going down. It will make the final table easier if you're resigned to it. It's not the managers fault. It's the owner's! He's royally messed us up and, when we do go down, I hope it costs him as much money as possible. Take positives folks. We will have more chance of winning more games and the season SHOULD be more than just about trying to avoid relegation. Also, It will be easier to get the seat you want at Villa Park.
  15. Lerner has killed this famous club. We will be making a lot of headlines between now and the end of the season but, for all the wrong reasons. The media will love writing our obituary and I fuc***g hope that a great bit mural of it finds its way to Lerner's home, just to remind him of the huge mistake he's made in British - English - football history. Generation after generation of Villa fans will remember Randy Lerner as the man who destroyed Aston Villa Football Club. Not that he'll care though. He'll just bury his head into another failed adventure. I hope he loses a lot of money when he sells us, the weak-kneed charlatan.
  16. His positioning is poor most of the time. He's cost us this season as much as a fit Vlaar did last season. I'd rather have a fit Vlaar though, and that's saying something.
  17. That OG was soooooo painfully shit it begged belief. But, like others said, why did he need to be there? Any answers Mr Captain?
  18. Villa fans are f***ed up and it's because of the shite we've put up with since consecutive seasons of finishing 6th and challenging for 4th. It's destroyed our sense of reasoning. On the face of it, Garde should be expecting a harsh time of it because his team have nothing much different to Sherwood's team. However, a dream team of Wenger, Mourinho and Ferguson couldn't get this team winning. Our brains (or lack of) trust have royally fuc**d up with their summer signings. Yes, they may come good but, as I said all along, it will all be too late. We will go down this season. My only hope is that Lerner receives the amount of rhetoric that our previous owner received. He fu**ing deserves it!
  19. Gabby also bleeds claret and blue - from his dick! He's protecting the future of our academy by populating it with his own.
  20. I'd like us to try for Matty Phillips from QPR. He is a provider of crosses and would be a good attacking threat down the right.
  21. You do know that an "attitude adjuster" is an alcoholic drink? Are you suggesting that he needs one of them to make him play better?
  22. I am not surprised to see this story at all because a friend of mine told me on Saturday that he likes to go out boozing and often pays for large bar bills for him and his mates. It's OK to enjoy yourself as a pro footballer but you have to use some sense and be careful what you are doing and who you are doing it with. This isn't aimed at Jack Grealish at all but is reflective of footballers who get paid a lot of money. My uncle once told me of a time he dropped my aunt off at work in Sutton and her boss, who was a Villa fan, noticed that my uncle was wearing his Villa shirt. He told him a story about when he first bought his house. It turned out that he found out about a well known, international, Villa player who played for us in the 1990's, who, at that time, had owned this guy's house. Apparently, the pool cleaner had told him about this ex player owning the house. He said that one day he went to clean the pool and looked inside the house to see the player naked in his Jacuzzi with two women snorting the white stuff from the edge of the pool. That story just makes you wonder about the players today and their performances. Not only the performances and how poor they are but, what about those players who are missing or left out of teams/squads/25's etc. What goes on behind the scenes that could answer a lot of the questions we pose over and over again? Makes you wonder if it's all worth parting with your hard-earned for.
  23. Err Randy, how much exactly will the asking price be for Aston Villa Football Club when we are a Championship club? Also, will you be lowering season ticket prices in order to have the famous Villa Park at least half full for next season's home games?
