  1. I don't know what will or won't work. But, I feel that maybe the best way is to somehow tarnish his family name so much that it makes the rest of his family pressure him into a cheaper sale purely to protect the family name/image.
  2. DDID, I didn't say Fox wasn't bothered by yesterday's protest. I said Lerner and Co are probably not too bothered by it, simply because they still got the revenue of those that protested, which, with the current bunch of misleaders, is all that seems to matter. Also, I didn't indicate that we threaten violence against Lerner, or anyone else for that matter. Just try to make a big show of disgust for the man that is crippling the club. I don't wish violence against him or anyone else associated with to the club. I purely suggested a way in which to show anger towards the man in order to make the news. I think that disrespecting his family name is the only way to get to him because his other family members might just get pissed off enough to put pressure on him to sell us at a lower price.
  3. Buying tickets and walking out still puts money into the club so Lerner and Co are probably not too bothered. Not buying tickets at all will give Lerner and Co a good excuse when asked why the club didn't spend money in transfer windows. In my opinion, the only way to get him out is for him to lower the asking price. Whilst he has all that money in his bank will he really be too bothered about selling up, especially on the cheap? Fox said that Lerner isn't a motivated seller. I think the only way to get to him is through his family and dragging the name through the mud so much that they put pressure on him to get out of dodge. Some drastic actions that make the newspapers and other media outlets, not just here but, more importantly, in the USA. I think something like this would get good coverage: Blow up doll, suited and booted and with Lerner's image for a face, a sign across him saying something like "IN LERNER WE DO NOT TRUST", a noose around his neck and hang it from the upper Holte somewhere around where it says "The 12th man". I think that might cause a stir.
  4. Having an owner that was active around the workplace might just have inspired the players a bit more. Still, they get well paid and should definitely try harder and compete. The defenders are indefensible in my opinion. Pub players would do better!
  5. Whoever coaches that defence needs **** topping. They can't defend to save their lives! 3 v 1 at the back for the third goal was laughable.
  6. I'll go for £6.50, two pints of lager and a packet of crisps profit.
  7. Good luck tonight to all who are planning the walkout on 74 minutes. I know a few fans who think that the fans should support the club for the whole of the game. I hope they're the only fans remaining after 74 minutes because it needs something like this campaign to be successful in order to attract negative publicity for the way Lerner has run this famous club into the oncoming dark ages. I won't be at the game tonight but please, all that do attend, think of the bigger picture and leave on 74 minutes. Forget about supporting these players, most, if not all, will be out of the door in a blink of an eye if anyone stupid enough comes in for them in the summer. Support our club by showing that, for the future good of Aston Villa Football Club, Randy Lerner is no longer wanted here!
  8. I didn't realise Ducks were so fond of biscuits!
  9. If Randy Lerner was a film.. ....... .. Can we exchange him for Tom Hanks? We get a Hollywood superstar with charisma as owner and Lerner can f**k off to Tinsel town to star in Forrest Gump 2.
  10. I'm sure there is a spelling mistake in this post somewhere!
  11. What I fail to understand is how we are so much in debt to him, as well as already having paid money back to him and also, the supposed millions that he's lost. The Sun's two page spread last week revealed a net spend of around £117m over Lerner's 10 year ownership. An average of £11.7m per season. If true, and all the debt and losses rumours are true, where did the money go? I mean, making a loss of £117m on players, owing him £90m, him already being paid back debt in the past and, him writing off millions etc. All that doesn't seem right. Did we never make any money in the last 10 years?
  12. I agree with a lot of the most recent posts on here. Like Terrytini says, the asking price is the problem. Imagine wanting to buy a classic car but, not only do you have to pay the asking price of more than was originally paid for it but, you also have to pay for it to be brought up to standard as well as taking on the owner's debt for the cowboy jobs he'd had done on it over the years. Any takers? If people stay away, Lerner (well, his henchmen) will just blame the lack of fan support. I can only see him being forced into a sale from his family via the family name being tarnished over and over in the media. I think they would eventually have enough and put pressure on him to lower the asking price to what someone will be willing to pay.
  13. Only bad, I mean real bad, publicity will force Lerner to sell up cheap. His money comes from a trust and bad publicity may make his other family members enforce a cheap sale to protect the family name. Otherwise, this clown couldn't give a flying f**k about our predicament.
  14. Remember the quality of the players before judging the manager..
  15. The Muppets, who make the big decisions at our beloved club, need to get something right and stick with Remi Garde and give him as much realistic backing as possible. Financially and in the media they need to support Garde because there are clear signs of improvement on the pitch and we desperately need stability otherwise we could be out of the top flight for a long time.
  16. If Ayew had not lost his head and we'd gone on to find a winner against West Ham we would be just 5 points from safety now.
  17. Oh what we would give for form stats of win, win, void, draw!
  18. That image is disturbingly realistic.
  19. Keep your chin up Remi, us fans know who are to blame for the mess we've become. You're trying to perform the the great escape with players who simply aren't good enough.
  20. Here's a question for someone with more knowledge of our financial situation. Can Lerner bankrupt us? I mean, didn't he defer our payments of the money we owe him until something like 2017? And, if so, is it possible that he could just say he wants it all back and just asset strip the **** out of us to get it back? Just asking without any financial know-how so please take it easy on me guys.
  21. If Delph is a snake, what name could be attributed to this guy? With all the bullshite and his lack of presence the only name I can think of is Phoney Spectre. Any advances?
  22. This seasons relegation battle is going to be interesting, for those finishing 18th & 19th. We're down in 20th place and anyone thinking differently is deluded! The other positions are my interest from herein. Those teams have spent money and trying to stay up and right now it's hard to say who will join us in the Championship. My feeling is for Swansea and Sunderland but Fat Sam has a great record and they might just see off Norwich for the 17th place.
  23. You couldn't sell this word removed in poundland!!
