  1. If at all possible, I would keep Ayew, Amavi, Grealish, Traore and Veretout. The rest can **** off.
  2. The above quote makes you realise just how poorly run we have been. Leicester and West Ham, who we've out-spent massively in the past, winning the league and finishing in the Champions League places. I'd love for General Krulak to come on here and explain his take on why/how that's possible for clubs like Leicester, Spurs and possibly West Ham when our club - via him - were telling us that the spending power of the big four of Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal meant that breaking into the Champions League was impossible for other clubs. Lerner put all his eggs in one basket with O'Neil. Instead of putting blind faith in one man he should have just swung the axe at the end of his third season, when fans were saying that the signings and quality of football were not good enough to break the top four, and brought a new man in to improve on the squad we had and kept trying for top four. We would have got there eventually if Lerner had the balls to keep trying. Spurs have proven that persistence pays off! Persistence has paid off for Lerner because he's finally going to relegate us after a few years of trying!
  3. It's his own fault, he keeps burying his head in the sand when confronted by the media.
  4. Does anybody else think that we will spend more money in severance pay to the management and coaches leaving than we will net spend on new players in the summer?
  5. I think I'm past caring right now. We have no idea which players will be here next season. We don't know if the that do remain will suddenly start giving a s-hit about how they perform. We don't know if Lerner will still be here and, if he is, whether he will or won't back a new manager with decent funding for new players. There are just too many factors that are up in the air so, for me, I'm not interested right now. I just want this disaster to end ASAP and the changes to are place so we can assess where we're at. The only thing I do know is that I DO NOT TRUST Randy Lerner to make the right decisions to keep our club in the Championship, let alone get us promoted back into the Premier League.
  6. I think the fans at the game need to develop a specific chant aimed directly at Lerner. How's about the Tears For Fears classic, Shout? Just change it to OUT. Out, out, get the **** out. (or, Lerner get out) Lerner's someone we can do without, Jog on, we're talking to you, jog on. (or, move on, we're talking to you, move on) A large section of the crowd belting that out might make the feelings felt.
  7. What about throwing on to the pitch anything given free to you during Randy Lerner's time at the club? Including the flags from semi finals? Could also throw any shirts bought during his reign, I'm guessing the club will wash and resell them in order to by a player or two so it would also be a worthy cause.
  8. Fox isn't useful enough to earn £1.25m per year. That £20k+ per week salary could be our next best players wages!
  9. Someone at the very top will need to have big balls to do what's really necessary and that is to get rid of a big group of players, including: Hutton, Guzan, Lescott, Richards, Agbonlahor, Westwood, Sinclair - for starters. That may well need contracts being terminated and then having to replace them all with people who want to actually play and give a shit, for the club. Personally, I don't see that happening. Therefore, the board have to do the next best thing and bring in a no-nonsense manager to sort the trouble-makers out. Someone like - dare I say it - Nigel Pearson or Ian Holloway. Either way, I don't think we will get back up into the Premier League at the first attempt. I think we'll be down there for 2-3 seasons at least.
  10. I thought he was shite today. Bad positioning on several occasions. If he thinks he can get a Champions League club he's dreaming, unless he's thinking of a move to Celtic!
  11. I am sure Rowan Atkinson in any of his many guises could do a far better job than any of the clowns in suits at Villa Park!
  12. After today's accounts bombshell I think the only Jordan we will be seeing this summer is called Bowery!
  13. Such huge losses, so many new players in this season, relegation, loss of revenue again off the field this season, the failure to secure the big TV money next year and, don't we also have to start paying back the loans again to Lerner next year? Makes you wonder how far down we are going to fall with Lerner's cock-ups.
  14. In which case, Fox is a mighty rocket polisher!
  15. This is the opening post in this thread, about a month after the season started. It's quite frightening that the supporters of the football club could see the warning signs so early yet people on huge salaries couldn't. If Lerner or Hollis need any evidence/support to fire Fox and Co then surely this thread is it.
  16. I love this show. For me, it's the best on TV. It's the one show I watch where my missus doesn't bother talking to me because she knows I won't hear her
  17. You could argue that Richards had some kind of negative involvement in all four City goals. I got criticised by a few on here for questioning him playing at CB and has Captain, earlier in the season. He's just not good enough and seems like he can't be bothered. He should be stripped of the Captaincy immediately and be deployed back at right back or out of the team.
  18. I wouldn't mind keeping Clark if we could get a leader in at CB to play alongside him. In fact, I think the perfect player to go alongside him next season would be Richard Keogh at Derby. They play together for the ROI and an international CB pairing hasn't done West Brom any harm. Keogh has loads of experience in the Championship and always looks an old-fashioned rugged type of defender who tries. He might instil more fight in Clark. In fact, I'd even contemplate giving someone like him the captaincy.
  19. For me, our main problems lie with the defence and Gabby. I think we need a whole new defence and another forward to replace Gabby. Then, look at the rest of the squad to see where to improve.
  20. Yep, no coincidence there. Although, for the record, I think Norwich and Newcastle will be the two joining us. Sunderland have a key ingredient in their fight for survival, their manager.
  21. The three centre backs are the worst we have yet they are all playing in the same side. We would probably be better off with playing a 2 (full backs) - 5 - 3 formation.
  22. In Fox's case he helps relegate famous football clubs.
  23. Right now, regarding whether Garde goes or stays, I'm not too bothered either way. However, my inclination is that we have had far too many changes in recent times and probably need to steady the ship. Final point is that I think it's important for us all to remember that this manager has not signed any players during his time here.
  24. For the record, can I just point out that I'm not promoting or suggesting that violence be used as any form of protest. Unless putting rope around a blow-up doll's neck could be considered as such Good luck to anyone that protests in any kind of way. Personally, I doubt anybody will find a way that will force Lerner out of the club. Unfortunately for us, he seems as disinterested in forcing a sale as he does watching the team play.
