Assombalonga is not world class and neither is Abel Hernandez. I think Dr Xia needs to look at the definition of the term before suggesting signings in that way again, purely because it'll come back to haunt him unless a player in that bracket is signed. Now, if we had signed Ibrahimovic he could have made that claim. Maybe next year Dr Xia?

I hate saying this but he's starting to remind me of N'Zogbia with his attitude and running into people without looking up to play a pass.

I guess this more important thing that needs addressing is the goalkeeper then. I wonder if that's just his view based on what he's seen and what the fans have said or, has someone amongst the backroom staff said something. U guess time will tell and we'll know his feelings if a new keeper comes in before the end of the window.

He seemed to have learned about how not to clear the ball and risk hitting it against someone at Derby last week. In that game, I saw on two occasions how he set up a wall for free kicks and stood what looked to be too central, with Will Hughes just missing the post as Gollini stood rooted to the spot. I said to my dad that he was worryingly too central and unless he learnt quick he would get punished. I'm not surprised to see that free kick go in today. Hopefully he can learn quickly from that too, as well as how not to parry the ball.

I think we need to remember that the midfield contained a player that's new to the set up and the other two have been problematic in terms of not providing enough quality going forwards or enough protection for the defence for some time. Once we have an all new midfield - Jedinak, Tshibola and the AM - maybe we will see a better looking side.

Players have to gel and get used to each other. Also, if you're going to lose games now is the best time as the window is still open, if we feel it needs changing.

Was never impressed by this lad so glad he's gone. Having said that, he was thrown in out of his depth when bought by Lambert.

Tell you one thing, right now and after the shite we have had from the previous owner for the last few years, I am really enjoying us being owned by Tony Xia. OK, he could turn out to be part of a people-smuggling gang for all we know but until that time comes - IF it ever comes (I bloody hope it doesn't!) - let's just enjoy the good feeling that the guy is creating around the club right now. God knows it's been a long time since we've all felt a general good feeling about an owner of our club.

I loved reading that tweet this morning. Nothing to do with the tyrant he was quoting but because it suggested to me that we now have an owner who is going to listen to us. Think about scouts for a moment. They cannot get to every game that a player plays in so they must spend a lot of time watching video clips and reading stats, which is basically what us lot do but there are a lot more of us so we will have a wider opinion of a player if you read say 50 views on a player. Surely it would be better to get the opinion on someone from 50 than from 1? Also, what if that scout is possibly on friendly terms with a player's agent or the player himself? Could easily take a back-hander or two just to get a deal done and boost his income. I bet that happens more than we would like to imagine in our game. A scout gets paid to hunt for players and to them it is a job whereas to us lot we are simply trying to spot players that we think will do well for our club and we do it for a love of the club, not because we get paid. I know who I would rather listen to!

I read Dr Xia's tweet purely as: I watched a Europa game tonight but it involved the wrong claret and blues. When we're back in the Premier League next season, it won't be long before we are playing European games again. You fans are funky awesome - Cheers!

I think people are being a bit unfair on Lescott. Remember how Dr Tony asked us to allow Leo Bacuna to have a fresh start, well, maybe we should do the same for Joleon. I am really enjoying the way Dr Tony goes about his business. Imagine one of us lot being in his position of owning our football club and doing the business he's doing for his cub and us fans. You would go to meetings and have talks with people thinking "I want to get the best deal possible and get the player in/out but, at the same time, I won't be f**ked over my someone from another club, especially those who are our main rivals - we are Aston F**king Villa!". Imagine dealing with our players that have bad attitudes - "this tw*t let our fans down badly and he wants me to contribute towards his huge wage whilst he plays elsewhere. He can go f**k himself". Every time I read one of his tweets on here I think to myself that this guy is really going about his business in the same way that I would if I owned the Villa. Perfect example; going for breakfast and waiting for a call to confirm that a player I have signed is about to be put on the club's website. Thought? "I know, I'll have my mate here take a picture of me and then put it on twitter together with a message letting the fans know that another signing is about to be announced, so that my Villa-supporting followers can have an exciting start to their day" - that's something I would do if I was owner! Well done Dr Tony for bringing enjoyment to us all this summer
