Ultimately it's Dr Xia's club and his twitter account - he can do whatever he wants. With a billion or so quid in the bank I'm sure he really gives a toss what people say about how he speaks to his staff.

I think Dr Xia's twitter presence will lead to him having more focus on him and allow more freedom for RDM and his backroom staff to get on with the footie side of things.

Right all, I think I have sussed out what's going on between Dr Xia and Agbonlahor. It's a complete misunderstanding and something that got lost in translation, as follows: Dr Xia: "Gabby, you want go Reading?" Gabby: just stands there shaking his head and says "no". Dr Xia: "come on Gabby, you must go Reading, it's good for you". Gabby: "I don't want to go reading" Dr Xia: "but Gabby don't you want prove you a man?" Gabby takes offence and storms out and all because he thinks Dr Xia wants to send him to reading classes.

I think we will finish in the top 6 but depends on what business we do next transfer window because of the players missing for the AFCON. Wouldn't be surprised to see us win the league.

1) How long has it been since any Villa manager managed to motivate Agbonlahor? How long has Tony Xia been at the club and yet he has already grown frustrated with him so something must clearly be amiss with the players attitude. 2) What if it was a more popular player? If a player was that popular we wouldn't be looking to offload him in the first place and the club owner would be happy with him, surely? 3) If I was a player who knew that I was going to f**k about then I wouldn't want to come to the Villa with an owner who holds no punches. But, if I was a player with a professional attitude it wouldn't bother me at all. In fact, I would be happy to join a club knowing that the management would be making sure that everyone pulls their weight or they would be shown the door! It could be deemed unprofessional and in a normal workplace would probably give the member of staff cause for claiming constructive dismissal or something like that. But, how many times have us fans felt cheated and let down by Agbonlahor's (and many others) performances? People pay to see him give his all for the club and he clearly hasn't, on too many occasions to mention. I like the fact that the owner only wants players here who deserve the money they are paid, which comes in part from us lot paying to watch them. Safe to say, I am 100% behind Dr Xia on this occasion. Fair play to him for telling it how it is.

Palace seem to have done some great business. Remy and the beast up front with Townsend added to play down the opposite wing to Zaha. Can see them scoring loads of goals this season.

As I was leaving work tonight I mentioned to a West Brom fan that we'd signed Adomah, he was gutted! He said "we've signed f**king Robson-Kanu, a player who scored 1 in 7 at Reading in the Championship". I laughed and said "don't worry, Tom Ross said you'll be signing four today". The baggies fan said "If he's the benchmark they can forget signing any more. They're jokers". Makes it even better to see our signings after that

Wouldn't it be nice if the club has one or two more deals ready to announce tonight? Leak it to the SSN team so that they build up to it all evening and then make a double announcement sometime after 11pm but before deadline. That would be a great way to round off this transfer window, especially if the last deal of the day is Micah Richards to Fenerbahce

We fans need to be patient. Last season, we started off with concerns at how the previous season ended and uneasy with the way Sherwood managed. We were pretty much excited about the big turnaround in staff but also aware that we had lost two or three of our best players and replaced them with largely unknown names who were new to English football. This season, we have a completely new management team but the kind of player turnaround. However, we must also remember that we haven't lost our best players this season, we have pretty much got rid of the rubbish and replaced them with players who nearly all have experience of the league we are in and have done well in it before. We need to give the management team time to get things working the way they want. It's a season with 8 more league games so let's give the guys enough time to work their magic.

That wouldn't affect our Micah because, as he's shown at the Villa, he no longer blocks shots!

Every time I've seen him play live on TV the commentator has urged him to have confidence and use his pace to run at people. He seems to slow his stride and dally on the ball rather than just using his raw speed to go past people. Having said that, I'd rather have him than Traore as we will at least see him and he's good for a handful of goals each season.
