  1. If Westwood scored three goals in a game I'd be overwhelmed. If Jedinak did it I'd be dumbfounded. If Chester did it I'd think it's April 1st! Westwood scoring should be more likely than the other two considering he's been playing further forward.
  2. We're definitely in with a shout of making the play-offs but my concern is the AFCON. Will we lose Kodjia, Ayew and Adomah? If so, probably our three best attacking talents will be missing. What will the front three be then - Gabby - Gestede - Grealish? Maybe McCormack instead of Gestede? That's what worries me. If we can get through that spell without any harm being done, the play-offs will be well within our reach IMO.
  3. Sorry mate but I disagree. He's had bad games but the good seems to outweigh the bad recently.
  4. We need a new right back, centre back, centre midfielder and goalkeeper in January.
  5. He probably will be but he's not what we need to get out of this league. First half, I said to my Dad that he should have come for a cross inside the six yard box but, he didn't. Then, second half, he comes for a cross he should be nowhere near - 12 yards out!
  6. That run from Sacko wide left, where he turned inside Amavi, where Kodjia got in front of him and drew the free kick - how many teams in any league have a top goalscorer that would do that?
  7. If Dr Tony's reign forever stays this way, wow, a better owner we could not wish for.

  9. Thanks mate, I really appreciate that!
  10. Maybe we can benefit from having decent people around the club instead of money-grabbing has-beens that just want to sit on their arses doing nothing.
  11. I know! Lol I was trying out something that I used to do as a kid, pick a horse in every race and see how many come in. I was bored during my lunch break at work so decided to have a go. After doing so well and not backing them, I decided to have a flutter on Saturday and got 5 up from 9. Makes a change from my losing footie bets.
  12. Sorry for your loss too mate. Cancer is vile and I lost both my Grandparents on my Dad's side to lung cancer. Smoking has had a very bad impact on my family.
  13. A bloke is complaining about his wife, to his mate, in a pub: "My missus is just so hard to please! Last year, I spent four grand on a boob job, she was happy with that. Last month, I spent two grand on a nose job, she was happy with that too. Last night, I told her I'd spent fifty quid on a blow job and she went f**king mental at me!"
  14. I picked 6 out of the 7 winners at Doncaster on Friday with only Azert De Coeur letting me down, and that broke a blood vessel so may have gone in too otherwise. Didn't place a bet on any of them! 9 winners from 21 races overall that day. Won a few quid on Saturday though after getting 5 of my 9 up on my Union Jack bet.
  15. Worst year of my life. My beautiful Mum passed away after two years of struggle against lung and breast cancers, as well as COPD. I also lost an uncle too, who was Mum's last surviving brother. Another uncle had a severe heart attack and now lives with less than 30% of working capacity of his heart. Been tough financially too because I used nearly all my annual holiday to help my dad look after Mum, which also resulted in me spending 6 nights a week at my parents' home and away from my girlfriend and 2 year old son, for over 3 months. Because of using all my holiday, and it not being enough, I've lost a lot of days unpaid leave from work too. Worst year of my life by far and completed by my team being relegated just for good measure.
  16. He injured his hen? Suppose it could have been worse, he could have injured his cock!
  17. Thanks for the quick response Ben! If you don't mind me asking, how many bets per day do people usually need to place to make say £150 per week and, how much personal money would be needed for that? Just asking for a mate at work who is not a VillaTalk member but who interested in this system.
  18. Is it essential that - to use your system/software - you need to have access to a laptop or PC? Or, can you still use your system via smartphone/tablet etc? If a person only gets lunch breaks at work, say 1-2pm, each working day, together with an hour or two on a Saturday, can they still make a lot of money using your system? How can you claim that your system is "risk free"? Hope you don't mind me asking. I have a young boy to put first and a missus with expensive tastes around the house so don't have loads of cash to burn but, I do like a flutter and in the little spare time I do get I do like to try and take some of the bookies' money off him. Any advice you can give would be nice!
  19. Coneygree showed that a novice can win it so Thistlecrack, who looks a real machine, will have a great chance at this, if he keeps progressing. You're right though, it promises to be a cracking race.
  20. I think the trainers to watch this year will be Hobbs, Skelton and Tizzard. Hobbs because he now has a chance to challenge the two British super-powers of Henderson and Nicholls, as they are now without superstar horses that they've held in recent times. Hobbs has pretty much played supporting role but he might take some of their glory this season. Skelton is a newbie who had a great season last season and will need to replicate that if he wants to attract wealthy owners. Tizzard has just taken some of the Potts horses and will be a good trainer to follow this season. He could well take the Gold Cup this season.
  21. That was the most openly corrupt thing I have seen in racing. I actually called it on the morning of that day's racing, that Walsh would probably "drop it" if the first lot came in. A certain Irish bookie asked a family favour to stop him losing lots of dough - no doubt.
  22. Coneygree will be match fit again by then! I like Cue Card but his last two races were bad so he looks to me like a hit and miss horse these days. Coneygree ran a good race when you think of how long he's been off.
  23. The new Metallica album is awesome. Loving the tracks Now That We're Dead & Moth Into Flame
  24. I was concerned about last night's game. I thought that, with some of our players being away, with having that continuity broken up, with playing away at the team lying second in the league with a chance of going top if they'd won, with that team also having won their last 5 games with a 5-0 pasting of Norwich, I thought that this would be too big a test for us. We played (arguably) the best football we've seen this season and looked solid at the back. We closed and chased opponents from start to end and were unlucky not to win the game. Unbeaten in 6 games is something I never envisaged for Bruce's first 6 games. I didn't think that was possible with these players this season. It just goes to show what a fantastic job the manager has done so far and I am really glad that he is our manager right now because if he was managing another team in this league we would be finishing another place lower. Keep it going Stevie!
