  1. I believe it was New Year's Eve mate. I remember being down in Northampton for a NYE piss up and listening to the game on the way there in the car.
  2. It's an easy mistake to make but, I think you've confused the term "frightened" with the phrase "couldn't run for laughing".
  3. Bruce made the right decision to drop Westwood for Gardner. Gardner was closing down their back four first half and tried to prevent them playing out from the back, which was good work ethic. Gardner's trouble is his lack of quality, much like Westwood. Once we have replaced them two with a couple of better quality midfielders we will see a big change in how much possession we have and chances we create. You can't create anything if you haven't got the ball!
  4. When Lerner was throwing money at MON, and we were finishing sixth, people were complaining about the style of football that we were playing and even suggesting that maybe he should be replaced. The football since Bruce arrived as largely been unimpressive and so I believe that he's going to suffer the same as MON, in that fans will be divided because of the standard of football we are playing, even if it wins more than we lose. The football isn't pretty but we're winning more than losing and still on an upward curve. Also, we have to remember that Bruce has been here for less games than RDM and is working with other managers' signings. We need to at least give him the chance to see what football we produce when we has brought in his own players. As long as we keep up the points to games ratio he's got here I'll be happy.
  5. If he was a racehorse, by now, he'd be Salami sat on top of a pizza somewhere in continental Europe.
  6. Way too early to write off our chances but, we are now 9 points adrift whereas we were 3 points adrift a week or so ago. That is brutal and so we need to start realising that this is a tough league where anyone can beat anyone and stop having games where we don't turn up.

  8. I remember that I used to call Darius Kubicki Dangerous Kubicki because of fear of him having the ball. However, having witness Lowton, Bennett, Hutton, Cissokho etc play full-back for us in recent times I have become more open-minded about what the word "quality" actually means and would have another Dangerous over the afore-mentioned bunch any day.
  9. Hello mate, Do you mean a training video on Betfair's site or yours? I haven't actually joined your site yet. I want to get Christmas out of the way first and then join your site in January when I will have more money and time available to get stuck into this system as it does interest me a lot. How long does it usually take for funds to leave your account on Betfair? Is it an instant transaction if you lose your lay bet? Also, how long does it take for Betfair to pay you if you make a withdrawal from their betting accounts? Is it the usual two days like Paddy power, Bet365 etc? Like I said before, I am a bit dubious about using Betfair so just trying to get a bit of confidence and knowledge of them before opening an account with them.
  10. Can anyone help me try to understand the Betfair Exchange side of this and how the lay betting works, please? I understand that the lay bet means you want your selection to lose. I understand the backer's stake is what you want to get in return for your bet being successful and that you have to pay 5% commission on that to Betfair. I understand the liability is what you must pay out if the selection you lay wins. However, I am struggling with the backer's odds part. It has set odds to begin with but then there are up and down arrows where you can change those odds. I am reading it like this: If you choose a selection at say 1.86 and you liability is say £8.00, by lowering the odds the liability also lowers. Does that mean you are offering lower odds to other Betfair users in the hope that they take those odds and you have a lesser liability? Do people actually take the lower odds? I guess by raising the odds you are trying to entice more people to bet with you? I have never placed a bet on the exchanges and just want to try to get a feel for how the "lay" bets work.
  11. The best part of Christmas for me now is my 3 year old boy. He is making life worth living right now for me after losing my Mum this year. You know when they say that things happen for a reason? Maybe that's why I didn't become a Dad until 41. Seeing my son really understanding what Christmas is like this year is just amazing. Being a Dad is the best thing that can happen to any man IMO.
  12. I think Bruce will drop Gabby, Westwood, Hutton and Ayew. I reckon Bacuna will be right back, Tshibola in for Westwood, Adomah for Ayew and McCormack for Gabby.
  13. That's bull and you know it! He's actually 21 years and 48 months old now stop spoiling other fans' fun
  14. Add Jenkinson at right back, a good solid midfielder to play alongside Jedinak and throw Jordan Rhodes into the mix (loan deal?) and you have more solid look to us.
  15. He seems more illusive than Lord Lucan, the Abominable Snowman and, Nessie all put together! I actually forgot he was playing until the commentator mentioned his name about 30 minutes into the game.
  16. The guy needs contact lenses because he plays like he cannot see! Either that or he thinks it's a game of 1 v 11.
  17. WoodyTom, I never said that you said that he was the worst! He was probably our best player first half but struggled second half by trying to be too smart. He's a decent enough footballer and has a touch of class about him that sets him apart from most of our defenders, if not all.
  18. That lineup was wrong tonight. Gabby up front isn't working and it won't work because he's past it. Kodjia needs to play down the middle with Adomah right, Ayew/Grealish left and McCormack/Grealish behind the striker. Obviously, main need in January is a centre midfielder to go alongside Jedinak. A right back is also crucial as Hutton is just a turd stain on a pitch. Why do we make it so easy for the opposition? Gollini and Jedinak against Leeds, tonight, Gabby plays pinball with the ball before Jedinak helps it along the way before Elphick makes an invisible block. We have to be stronger in the challenge and play at a higher tempo. Norwich are shite but we made them look better than us.
  19. Who did you watch first half? He was rock solid for the first 45 minutes and nervy and beatable for the second 45. By "given it away" are you referring to the hacked clearances he made? If so, what would you have done in the same situations? Dribble your way out of the box? He had a Jekyll and Hyde game but wasn't the worst player by far.
  20. At a Young Person's Association in Yorkshire a blonde lady will be seduced by a reindeer. Is that the answer?
  21. I loved this episode! Negan's handling of Spencer was a bit predictable but great at the same time. The weird guy spying on Alexandria in the Spoiler is either gonna make the beating of the saviours or the ending of some of Alexandria's lot. I'm hoping he's bad ass and joins up with Rick's lot for the greater good. Who will kill Negan? I'm going for Dwight as he's got a mighty fine missus being stoked by Negan and surely it would be too obvious to make it one of Rick's group? Actually, I think the person spying in the Spoiler might just be one of those tough women that Tara encountered in last week's episode. Hopefully, it is and she will suss out what's going on, go back to her group and get all that weaponry over to Alexandria in time for the war.
  22. I'm sure Jenkinson filled in at CB a few times in the past for the Gooners so maybe Bruce sees him as an option for his versatility. I'd welcome that decision if the rumours are true.
  23. Connor Hoolihan and Tim Carney would be fantastic additions to our midfield.
  24. We definitely need a new centre back in January and right now I wouldn't mind if it was Bruce's son, just as long as we get some cover in.
