  1. That's not a viking clap, that's a five knuckle shuffle
  2. I like French cheese and lots of other foreign stuff but it didn't make me vote remain
  3. well what do you expect, they say "you are what you eat!" Bree by name..........
  4. There was one through ball he played for Adomah that no other Villa player could have seen or done. It's quite basic really but, unfortunately, we've not even been able to do the basics right for far too long. Lansbury and Hourihane are going to be the makings of a brighter future for this club. I also think Jedinak will be better off for having them alongside him in the engine room. He can concentrate on breaking up play and let them do the technical stuff.
  5. I've never understood the concept that a man could ever waste his beer by throwing it an opposing fan or people playing football that earn tons more than us. Plus, how far do they expect those shitty plastic cups to travel through the air? Beer is for drinking - not throwing! Staying on topic, I think Johnstone looks like a beer drinker.
  6. With all respect Czechlad, when was the last time you went to Villa Park? I think you'll find that the massive increase in revenue to accommodate such expensive signings comes from the increase in alcohol consumption. Do you realise how many beers it takes before you can bring yourself to watch that shite live? And we Villans can hold our booze so the maths is easy when all things are said and done
  7. Middlesbrough have confirmed they've received two bids for Jordan Rhodes - one from Sheffield Weds but not named the other. We go about our business quietly most of the time so wouldn't be surprised if that other team is us.
  8. I'd rather not have him around anymore but, if nobody else will take him and we're paying him big wages, I'd rather he get fit and earned them rather than training with the kids and getting paid a lot of money for doing nothing.
  9. Bruce obviously set about changing our fortunes immediately when he got here. That meant getting us up the table without worrying about the style of football = successful. He's now trying to bring in HIS type of footballer to the club and if Lansbury, Bree and Hourihane are evidence of his type of player then I can certainly see a positive future ahead for us with him as manager. This season is not the season to judge him by. Yes, you can argue he had time to get us into the play offs but we all know in truth that he was left with a threadbare midfield, a dodgy right back and one quality striker. I'm not even sure we can judge him over the remainder of the season as we will probably tail off once the players get it in their heads that the play offs are beyond their reach. I'm happy to give him the rest of this season, the summer transfer window and the first 10 games of next season. I really do think that, after this season and the next transfer window, we should be in a place where he has in place everything he needs to hit the ground running next season and I'd expect after 10 games, with his squad of players, we should be in the top two and with a minimum of 20-22 points from the first 30 available.
  10. I'm not preset on moaning at all. I just think the lad is not living up to the hype that so many have made about him. When he does he will get the praise he deserves but, whilst he churns out average performances where he makes poor decisions that cost us chances I'll feel free to question him, regardless of whether he's homegrown or from Timbuktu.
  11. This ^^ made me laugh sooooooooooo much and then I thought "f**k, he's right!"
  12. Try to find a taken this window, even if on loan just to get him out of the club.
  13. Totally agree mate, he's scored a great goal and that's pretty much his contribution to this season. The kid just isn't as good as he and lots of others think he is.
  14. Who else was he meant to start up front instead of Gabby? By all accounts he played well today so not sure if the criticism is merited today. Also, why not play Lansbury? He's not injured so why not pick him considering the other options we had? I understand people being frustrated but have a go about something that's warranted.
  15. I'm listening to the commentary on the radio and the commentators - which includes Tony Morley - are saying that Gabby is playing the best they've seen him for a very long time. We just haven't continued our first half form - where we absolutely tore them apart - in the second half. What I've heard in commentary is that Grealish seems to have made quite a few bad decisions today when we were on the attack.
  16. It seems like week on week our starting line up looks weaker. I sincerely hope that our January dealings aren't completed by just two more.
  17. How does Richards make that squad? Surely if McCormack isn't in favour, for whatever reason, we need to put some other kind of forward on the bench? This proves how much we need another striker at the club. If RMC does leave I hope it's in a straight swap for Rhodes.
