The idea of him alongside Lansbury in our midfield is mind-blowing. I mean, since when did we play two central midfielders that actually scored and assisted in goals regularly? We should be so much more entertaining to watch with this new line-up.

I was just thinking, Steve Bruce must really want to give his very best to our club because of Tony Xia. Surely this is the best owner he's ever worked for? Dave Whelan at Wigan - loved the club and honourable to managers but not much money to spend and always hogging the limelight. The owners at Sunderland - whoever they were - didn't seem to have much money or ambition. The Hull owner, who seemed scatty as anything and caused Bruce to walk out on them. Sullivan & the porn dwarves at Small Heath, nothing else to say here is there! Brucey must really think all his Christmasses have come at once and be really keen to get us back into the Premier League with the riches that Tony Xia seems to have.

It's no wonder Tony is loaded and a very successful man, he gets things done. So far he's seemed like a dream come true as a football club owner.

Sign Hourihane and that potentially makes for 2 x injuries or suspensions needed before Westwood or Gardner makes it into the team. That's all that matters right now IMO.

Is it at all possible that we've liaised with someone at the mail to re-run this link in order to force Hourihane's agent to stop f**king about and get that deal sealed quicker? If Premier League clubs have shown a bit of interest, but less than us, maybe the club are just trying to push it over the line?

Can we send Westwood to Iceland in exchange? I mean, they move stuff from side to side when re-atacking shelves so he should fit in there! On a serious note, maybe Lansbury and Hourihane will be the two in the middle of a four with Adomah on the left with Bjarnason on the right? This team is beginning to give the appearance of a side that could maybe entertain the fans at long last? Wherever he plays, I hope this guy signs. I remember watching him at the Euros and thinking what a great player he looked and how he seemed to never stop running. Playing for Basel and being in the Champions League it never entered my head that we'd try to sign him. I thought he'd move somewhere bigger to be honest so I'd be well happy if he joins us.
