  1. No idea if you have or haven't - I was just asking you a question.
  2. So, let's say we drop out of the play-off places, which is staring us in the face, at what point do you think we should consider changing the manager, if at all?
  3. Monk would surely have taken the Swansea keep-the-ball and play-it-out-from-the-back style that Martinez and Rodgers oversaw, to 'Boro? I guess they don't think they have the players to do that.
  4. You don't need a vent mate - you need a change of manager!
  5. They are behind us, which means they also out of the play-off places. They have also had some strange managerial changes in recent history with the Karanka saga and, they have sacked a manager with very little managerial experience, so you could argue they may be more lenient with them than they would be with us.
  6. The football nation would rip the f##k out of the fans of this club for calling for the managers head whilst still in the play-offs and Dr Tony would take some stick from Bruce's pals in the press for wielding the axe too, if he sacked him now. I think the only chance of seeing him gone is when we drop out of the top 6 and we don't get back into it after a couple of games. It's the business end of the season and Xia will have seen enough to know in his own heart/mind whether he thinks Bruce can get them back into the play-offs and believe we can win it. I would say a vote amongst fans would show that a majority would believe that we wouldn't get promoted via the play-off route - simply because of our form against the top teams in this league. Monk getting sacked will hopefully be a wake-up call for Bruce and he will sort out this slide we are in. If he doesn't he may not have too many more games as boss of his biggest ever club.
  7. I don't think Bruce will be here if we start showing signs of falling off the pace. I reckon that if we drop out of the play-off places he will have a couple of games to get back in and then get sacked if it doesn't happen. What would be the point of giving him another season when he has exhausted all resources? I think he would give someone else a go at the last remaining games to turn it around and if it fails they would have the end of the season to get used to the players and work on who needs replacing and potential signings to go into next season with.
  8. We are missing Kodjia. It happened last season and it's happening again this season - it's no coincidence.
  9. Sheff Utd have Sunderland at home next - you would expect them to win that one. Preston are away at Barnsley next - a good chance of three points there. Villa are away at Brentford - they played us off the park in the same fixture last season and with our new defensive frailties I have no confidence in us getting anything from that game. If all results go that way we could drop to 8th or maybe even 9th on Boxing Day.
  10. Villa were once 4th in the Premier League at this stage of the season. How did our Champions League campaign go again? This is Villa mate - it does not work that way and certainly not with the manager we have.
  11. Bruce's Villa are proving time and again that we cannot beat the better teams in this league. Beating the lower teams only will not gain you promotion - we have to beat those above and around us otherwise we are stuck in this league for one more season, at least!
  12. Mate, I don't doubt this isn't good enough. Tonight was individual errors though. Overall, Bruce is to blame.
  13. Bruce isn't good enough for sure but I'm not sure what I would do. Do we have a better chance of promotion without him? The style of football we play is not going to beat a top team in this division yet starting 11 v starting 11 you would think we would be the better team. Manager or players without enough quality/conviction? We just know it will be a struggle in every single game we play. I'm not sure a new manager will work but I do think this one won't get us up this season.
  14. I think Terry's return will add bags of confidence to the team but, I must admit, our style of football just doesn' doesn't seem good enough to compete with the top teams in this division. Sheff Utd have lost 4 out of 5 and only managed a draw at home to the Scum from Small Heath. This is their biggest result in 6. No surprise there though!
  15. Yes I am. Two players got us into this situation. My criticism is Bruce makes us too defensive but that hasn't been the case tonight - which is good because God knows how many they would have scored if we had been.
  16. What I will say is this. Last season, despite often needing him to cover for our back four, Jedinak was terribly slow and passed to the opposition. For those reasons alone, I would prefer not to see him at centre back.
  17. I know mate but you can't expect or plan for those mistakes. They were scholboy errors.
  18. He certainly can but, for two professional footballers to make such basic errors it is beyond belief - especially when it's the same two players involved both goals.
  19. Bruce cannot be blamed for the position we are in at 70 minutes. Jedinak and Johnstone have to take equal responsibility for this shite.
  20. Gabby looks anorexic compared to his old self. I think his kebab shop AND his gym went out of business.
  21. When this guy gives money to charity, does it qualify him as an Organ donor?
  22. To be fair, it could go either way so it is possible that could be the outcome.
  23. Thanks for that - I'll now be able to enjoy Christmas and my dinner will taste a whole lot better! Long live John Terry!
  24. Personal preference, that is all. It's not life or death - just my thoughts on a situation.
