  1. Don't lose faith! Tomorrow, we take second and never give it back!
  2. Well done Brucey - you deserve that award Now, come on Villa. Beat The Blues tomorrow and give the man a much needed boost in these trying times.
  3. My condolences to all within the Bruce family. May your Dad rest in peace, Steve. It's not easy losing someone so close and taking care of your dear Mom is the most important thing for you right now. Sad news
  4. I had a look at Derby's remaining fixtures last night. I reckon they will get another 31 points. To do them, we will need 33 to avoid GD. 10 wins, 3 draws, 3 defeats or, 9 wins, 6 draws, 1 defeat. Can't see the latter so think we need to win 10 and avoid defeats against Derby, Cardiff and Fulham and that should be enough.
  5. Leeds have sacked Christiansen so maybe they will get a new manager bounce in time for their games against out promotion rivals?
  6. Leeds are known for being trigger happy so the manager there might get sacked. If so, new manager bounce might help them see off a few of our rivals for promotion.
  7. That finish was quality. He nonchalantly knocked that in whereas a lot of players would have thrashed at it and put it over or wide. Keep up the good work Jack - your performances are helping to take our club back to the big time!
  8. I agree with most of that TRO. The main part being time to enjoy the results now. Earlier in the season I, as much as anyone, was critical of the style of play from us. I thought it wouldn't be good enough to get enough victories to get us out of this league but, up until now I have been proved wrong! I do think, overall, our performances have improved and that seems to have happened since Agnew came in, whether coincidence or not, it doesn't matter. Bruce is manager and deserves a lot of credit for turning the results around and getting us to where we are now. I think we are now so close to getting there that we all need to forget about performance and just concentrate on the result because that is all that matters right now. We slagged performances off earlier in the season and questioned logic but it hasn't stopped us getting where we are. Time to move on from that and just focus on enjoying what is now turning out to being a very good season for the club. I really hope that I am in this thread at the end of the season apologising for criticising Bruce and thanking him for taking this club back to where it belongs
  9. Were Snoddy and Albert not injured? If not, yes it was a gamble but, we won do fair play to the manager for protecting them.
  10. It appears that Jack has developed from a teenager to a man. I recall that tradition and know that it helped me tremendously. Obviously, not as well as it as for Jack. Keep it up Jack and take this form into the Premier League with you.
  11. Just like Man Utd fans wouldn't be happy with Mourinho if they were losing games and dropping out of the Champions League places!
  12. Exactly what I thought! I think he adds energy and, the team seems to break quicker with him in midfield? Don't forget that shot he blocked last night too, which looked goal-bound.
  13. I'm not slagging Bruce off again this season unless he majorly screws up. Before the season started odd goal victories were predicted and that's happening. Its obviously his way to get out of this league! Well done Steve & Co - you'e doing great!
  14. When was the last time we had a back five that looked as solid as we had tonight? Two wingers who can go either way past defenders and score goals. Finally, we've got our playmaker. Jack was earmarked for the role for a couple of years but finally the boy turned into a man and just goes past people like they're not there. We have a goalscorer that feeds on scraps but given chance he takes it. We have another to return who creates something out of nothing. We have defensive midfielders who fight for the ball. We have all the attributes to get out of this league this season. We all knew it and now it is showing to be true.
  15. F**k the play-offs, this team is going up automatically. At no point did I think Villa would concede tonight. Signing John Terry was a masterstroke because that defence looks impenetrable. Derby are bottlers. Richard Keogh is shite and will bottle it again. The challenge will be too much for Warnock to take and without him Cardiff will be a bag of shite! Bristol City will fade away, as will Sheffield United, Preston and Leeds. 'Boro are crap and won't do any good - maybe scrape the play-offs. Fulham are on a run but main man Cairney wants away so that might mess his head up for the run in. Villa are the real deal. I wasn't convinced but Bruce is making me eat my words. The turning point for me was the Forest away game where they told that stat about not losing a game we took the lead in since last February. Premier League here we come!
  16. Spot on mate! They are quite an experienced bunch in that team and they shouldn't need telling that automatic promotion is well within their reach and capabilities. They shouldn't be thinking it would be an achievement - they should be expecting to overturn the deficit and get that second spot.
  17. But, he did touch in the area of the ball!
  18. Got to admire the confidence of the lad making tweets like that after just joining the club!
