  1. He was below average today. One of his worst games imo.
  2. There's many things that Hutton did today. He won over many fans with that Goal - let's face it,if that can't buy credit wtf can? Probably Villas goal of this season! He took out two players with one tackle without even getting booked - Villa's tackle of the season! That was the best celebration you will see. Scored a worldy, ran into the crowd, got booked and accepted it by pounding the Villa badge on his chest. Like I said when he scored, if De Bruyne or Silva scored that it would be played over and over again on SSN. The best thing about that goal? Sky Sports will have something else to show that's legendary from Villa v Blues encounters other than that f**k up by Enckelman!
  3. For those not watching this - make sure you see the goal that Alan Hutton just scored! It is a wonder goal considering the occasion and he's a right back. If Silva, De Bruyne etc scored that it would be replayed all night on SSN.
  4. Whelan has been wank and caused us so many problems at the back - he was actually ANTI - protection for the back four! Hourihane has been poor and would have been subbed as well by now if we had McGinn playing. Hope Albert is ok because he's assisted the first two today and looked on his game, one of the few Villa players to take credit out of today whatever the score ends up at.
  5. First, ref screwed up by allowing Keftenbeld off the hook. That settle tone for their players to kick lumps out of Jack. Second, were badly missing McGinn. Third, players grew increasingly nervous and started making mistakes everywhere. Fourth, Grant Holt's evil twin should have seen red for that jaw-breaker on Hourihane. Fifth, Grant Holt's evil bastard twin is then allowed free space at a corner after Villa players fail to recognise their tactics on corners. (subsequently, this was sussed out by Axel but all too late). Sixth, Adams does the impossible and misses when easier to score. Seven, Albert gets on to an over-hit pass from Cafu and puts in a peach that Johnny Codger tucks away. Eight, Albert then crosses one in on his left and find super Jack to fulfil his boyhood dream. Nine, we need to be more confident and combitant against these. Ten, never forget who they are - they will ALWAYS be inferior to us and we will ALWAYS be better than them!
  6. Absolutely spot on, Mark! Like you, I could listen to him all day. He talks nothing but sense and remains calm and collected. Nothing seems to phase the guy and he just seems like the kind of bloke you would want to go to a game with and then sit and chat about the game over a few beers. There's a sense of no bullshit about Dean Smith. No hiding facts or trying to make ready made excuses. Everything seems crystal clear about the fella and I really hope that he enjoys a very successful career with the Villa. The most likeable manager we've had since Taylor, for me.
  7. I'd imagine some harsh punishment for the players if they lose to Small Heathens on Sunday. I reckon Deano will be on his A game for this one!
  8. Besides, it's not as if we're playing Barcelona! We don't need our best players to beat that load of sh1t from up the road.
  9. True! We have more possession than an Exorcist movie these days
  10. I think the people who said he was "Rank" hit the "R" key instead of the "W".
  11. Leaving won't happen. The elite won't want to lose their power and ways to sneak money out of the country via their European colleagues. All this messing around is just part of the ply to fail what the majority of voters in the referendum asked for. The way it's all going it wouldn't surprise me if the Queen jacked it all in, gave Charlie the reigns and her last act as custodian to be the dissolvement of parliament.
  12. King Edward perhaps? For instance, Dean Smiths style of football is a million miles away from that we played when King Edward was in charge. I'm sure we must all agree that reads a whole lot better and it's a pretty good fit for the person in question!
  13. Probably because he's not out his body on the line as much as people think?
  14. SGC, I can't remember but I definitely read it somewhere, possibly in his thread?
  15. Not doubting the quality of the signing - McGinn is awesome! Just doubting Bruce's motives for signing him and thinking it was more forced than intended.
  16. Tammy has said he prefers that left sided position, maybe he could swap with Johnny Codger?
  17. I don't! I'm sure Bruce only went after him because he was convinced Grealish was going to Spurs.
  18. I love his desire, his workrate, his passion, his love of our club etc. He's a talent for sure and seems to have a bit of everything - pace, height, skill, awareness, good work ethic. His finishing can be improved upon and his frame will fill out as he ages. A better first touch can be worked on too. Tammy Abraham is nowhere near a complete player yet - the best of him is yet to come. Imagine the player he'll be then! PS: "traveling fans get back safe" = very mature and classy! Nice touch that.
  19. If we continue to play like yesterday there's no doubting automatic promotion is achievable. All we need to do is stay within 6 or 7 points of second place until January when we can ease our defensive fears and we'll be right on track. We were all fearing our December fixtures but winning them will put dents in our promotion rivals' campaign so just need to stay positive now. Read the Derby fans' forum to see what they think of our chances!
  20. If he stays for the journey we've embarked on, he will be an absolute legend for our club.
  21. Catching a ball is a usual thing for a goalkeeper to do regardless of the league you play in. However, comparing a young goalkeeper in De Gea to a seasoned 28 year old isn't right imo. De Gea cost a fortune for United to buy, whereas we were shopping in Poundland.
  22. This guy's age his against him and the only thing that anyone can seem to defend him with is the fact he's a good shot stopper. Let's all hope we go through all our games without conceding corners, free kicks or allowing any crosses into the box - he might not concede then! Seriously, he's flapping at very bad crosses, what chance does he have against good crosses? That's basic keeping, surely? Nobody can teach him to leave that one - he should have known to have left that cross. A 10 year old would know to leave that cross! A new keeper is needed as number 1 because Bunn was deemed only coaching material pre-season so having him as back-up says bad things about Moreira going in ahead of Nyland. Bring back Steer as number 2, Nyland goes to number 3, Moreira goes home if not good enough and Bunn is retired off.
  23. I loved the way he answered the question last night "what about them for the next 7 games?". He said something like "bring it on". I like the fact that we fear nobody. We are Aston Villa and should never fear any other club!
