  1. The referees are poor across the whole of English football. I (foolishly) had high hopes that VAR would sort out the dodgy decisions but clearly that isn't the case.
  2. I don't think he could possibly be booked for diving because he never claimed to have been fouled. The ball broke loose to Lansbury and he scored. The ref blatantly did not want Villa to score. He is a cheat!
  3. My concern is that people will (if they haven't already) start panicking and that will spread to the players and make them nervous. We have a much younger squad these days and they are largely adjusting to Premier League and area. Most probably don't even have a home laid down here! Those players need our undivided support. If we give them that, they will be fine. Getting on their backs will make them nervous and it'll just make life harder for them.
  4. Spot on mate! We simply need time to adjust to life at the top. We've been unlucky in the bounce of the ball and ref desisions in at least two of the games so far. We will be fine.
  5. Hear yourself! After 4 games. Give them time and they'll be fine. Having shite refs time and again doesn't help.
  6. Kevin Friend is a cheat - Absolutely. What is the **** point of VAR?
  7. Their goal was lucky. He got a lucky bounce of the ball and then finished well. Yes, we've been overrun many times but that ref has killed us with needless bookings and that sending off. I don't blame Deano for putting on Davis. He's hoping we can hit him and bring the others into play when he holds it up. Makes sense.
  8. Friend has history with us from way back. I recall a game at Villa Park v Chelsea where he was meant to be in the crowd and due to a pre-match problem with the ref Friend had to take control of the game instead. It was the worst refereeing display I had ever seen. He gave every decision to. Chelsea. He went on to pretty much be the same in every game Villa played during our last Premier League spell. Villa officials need to complain about him because he is clearly anti-Villa.
  9. I think that Tyrone Mings is going to become priceless at Villa both to the club and to the fans. If that is the case, he will become a legend. Value will mean nothing because if we achieve what our owners want us to achieve then Tyrone will probably be part of that.
  10. This little beauty named AVF Up to 65 Inch TV Stand - Black is just £79.99 at Argos. I mean, they forgot the "C" off the end of the name but that shouldn't get in the way of a good purchase
  11. They can't moan about the results, the management, the owners etc so have to get their fix by targeting the player(s) that have performed at the lowest whoscored.com rating.
  12. Something I really love about Dean Smith is the fact he and his coaches are giving us a style to our play - an identity! Reading his post-match comments where he mentions about the players all knew what was expected of them and knew their roles/positions etc. Isn't it good to know that we have a squad of players that know what's expected of them and are not just asked to make it up as they go along.
  13. Hope you don't mind me asking you dude but, are you in a time warp or something? If so, can you please let me know all the scores for the whole of this season as well as next week's Euro millions numbers, ta.
  14. This was definitely noticed by me because I sat there reminiscing on how it looked so similar to the time when Makalele used to drop in between the Chelski centre backs to allow that team's full backs (Ashley Cole in his hey day was one of them) to bomb forward. Dougie is destined for that role and I think that he will become one of the best in the world at it once he's played there enough times. By the way, isn't it funny how we wait for over 100 years to sign a Brazilian and then two turn up at the same time - with English-sounding names of Wes and Doug. Why couldn't they be Luizinho Douglas and Morainho Wesley? Nope, we got Doug and Wes and they're going to be bloody great,
  15. It was a relief to see the frustration and displeasure on Deano's face early in the game when we clearly were second best and not having too much of the ball. He sees what is wrong just like we do and he must clearly know they're better than that and knows they can do better, which they did. That's what fills me with belief in our manager and I really think he's the real deal and we've got ourselves a legendary manager on our hands. I was asked after the Spurs game how long it would be, in my opinion, before we win our first game. I said it wouldn't surprise me if it took 6 games before we recorded a win due to the new players needing time to gel etc. To beat Everton 2-0 in only our 3rd game is a real big achievement from the team and should really inspire them. We'll done to all connected
  16. Spot on mate! Freddie has been a revelation down the right and carried the attack forward with Jota whilst the left side has been pretty quiet. Get Targett playing like Freddie and we'll be playing total football in no time.
  17. Yeah, makes you wonder why he didn't cost £20m.
  18. I'm watching this thinking that we have the equivalent of Mellberg and Laursen back - in terms of a centre back pairing. He takes a Mings boot and blocks a goal bound shot close to the line minutes later. He's another legend in the making.
  19. I think that what you said is clear for all to see and he even came clear with a reputation for not being an out and out striker. It might sound mad but I can see a scenario where Luiz is the closest player to him and Nakamba is DM. What that means for Jack and McGinn I don't know.
  20. Dog turd for us so far. About as pointless as an ice cube in the Antarctic. Let's hope we get some decisions go our way!
  21. Spot on mate. We gave it all we had. It looked a bit shoddy at times and a bit rushed so it's right that they need to learn to rest a bit on the ball. The lack of bounce at the end was a bit worrying as we also tailed off last week against Spurs. For me, that's the only real concern I have about the team going forward and I think that will be addressed as soon as January arrives. We need someone better than Kodjia and Davis coming off the bench as neither of them look like making an impact right now. I think Deano needs to drop Taylor as he offers nothing going forward. Personally, I think he should play Targett. El Ghazi should be dropped with Jota playing wide right and Trezeguet moving out wide left so he can cut in onto his right foot. We should then go with a bench of: Steer, Hause, Guilbert, Hourihane, Nakamba, Kodjia and El Ghazi.
  22. I like the new positive version of you. Maybe you could send a few lessons to Screwdriver!
