  1. According to the OS Clark is playing midfield. If he is he could be the key, Him and Nigel will run forever and he can help defend at set pieces, as Blues are very dangerous, with Zigic, Dann, Johnson and Ridgewell.
  2. Some Villa kits I made using different kit makers. anymore.
  3. New Villa Coaching Staff Manager: Gerard Houllier Assistant Manager: Gary McAllister First Team Coach: Sid Cowans Goalkeeping Coach: Rafa Gonzalez Fitness Coach: Robert Duverne
  4. They did did start with Blackpool although they are 4th at the moment.
  5. He has names but they are currently under contracts so may take some time.
  6. Under French law he could of been asked to work for 3 more months.
  7. Manager: Gerard Houllier Assistant: Phil Thompson 1st Team Coach: Kevin MacDonald It is almost the perfect team. Houllier has the experience and the contacts, Thompson is passoniate and will be the one barking out orders on the touchline allowing Houllier to sit back and keep is heart rate low and MacDonald knows the Villa team like the back of his hand.
  8. This was the team that beat Real Madrid 3-0 in the Champions League in 2005 Coupet Reveilliere Cris Cacapa Berthod Malouda Juninho Diarra Tiago Wiltord Carew
  9. Most of the player have already siad they want MacDonald as manager, so any manager might have a bit of resentment towards them.
  10. Another problem we might have to look at available as no managers would want to leave just as the season has started.
  11. You should join the board then. They're as misguided as you Employ him as a scratch card seller by all means. But lets leave him to his inevitable appointment as Fergie or Wenger's successor in the managerial stakes eh Curbishley has Premier League Experince This are his finsihing league positions in the Premier League Charlton 1997/1998 - Divison 1 play off winner 1998/1999 - 18th 1999/2000 - Divison 1 Champions 2000/2001 - 9th 2001/2002 - 14th 2002/2003 - 12th 2003/2004 - 7th 2004/2005 - 11th 2005/2006 - 13th Not bad for a side like Charlton, plus they got relegated after he left and look where they are now. West Ham 2006/2007 - 15th 2007/2008 - 10th He will have better players at Villa.
  12. I dont see the problem with Curbishley, he did wonders at Charlton signing the likes of Darren Bent for small transfers and promoted Scott Parker and Lee Bowyer through the youth ranks. He had loads of injuries at West Ham but still got them in the top 10, he brought Parker and Craig Bellamy to West Ham so has a history of buying good players.
  13. My order of preference of candiates mentioned David Moyes Mark Hughes Alan Cubishley Sven Goran Eriksson Ronald Koeman Kevin MacDonald Phil Brown Gareth Saouthgate
  14. He got West Ham in the top 10 and looking at them since he left they have gone downhill, he has brought the likes of Scott Parker, Darren Bent and Craig Bellamy so he can buy good players
  15. From Wikipedia I know but a few players Curbishley has signed
  16. Looking at the criteria and due to him not having a job it cold be Sven's job to lose.
  17. Hleb has not scored a league goal since November 2007 or 64 games.
  18. True but at the moment I will give the players the benefit of the doubt with what has gone on. If we play like that when the new manager or MacDonald is in charge I will them worry but not until that happens.
  19. With no manager I dont care how we play as long we win. The players will want to impress the new manager so we might play like we can do.
  20. We will have to ride our luck with injuries but what has changed at Villa really the last few years, with O'Neill being reluctent to rotate his squad but now we will get a manager that will use the whole squad just to get a better idea of each players ability. If we can be in the top 8 or 10 by Jan we can spend a few million in Jan and push for the top 6 again. The most important decison is getting the right manager and that will take aslong as it takes. We have won 2 out 3 in the league under MacDonald meaning we should be alright until the new man is hired.
  21. What ever happens, we are Villa fans and thats why we support the club, other clubs including Villa have been in far worst positions than we are now. If Lerner wanted to he could of sold Ashley Young but he did not becasue he still wants to take Villa forward, there are also blips and problems but that is life, it is how you overcome those probelms that is important. We are 4th in the league with no manager with 2 wins and 2 clean sheets out of 3 games, cant be that bad surely.
  22. We brought Carew and Ash in Jan, We will be able to buy a couple of players. Arsenal brought Arshavin in January.
  23. No problem there as we have less than 25 players that need to registered.
