  1. We have lost 5 away all season, all to teams in the top 6 Man City Man Utd Arsenal Spurs Newcastle With that record you would think we can get a point at Norwich at least
  2. Seem to remember Ben Foster getting MOTM on Saturday, You need to play well to make you opponents GK get MOTM
  3. Blackburn today make Alex McLeish's negative football look like Real Madrid football
  4. Even so City have won 16 from 17 at home and wont the unbeaten record at home. QPR have just 11 points from 17 and a half games away from home
  5. Even if Blackburn win today, they play Wigan next week so we will be above 1 if not both of them going into the, last game. If QPR lose today which is looking like they will and lose to Stoke next week a point vs Spurs will be enough to stay up if Blackburn lose today
  6. Sheffield United new kit whicxh they played in yesterday That does not look to shiny
  7. We all know how Darren Bent helped us stay up last season but these stats show how important he actually is to us and how we have struggled before he signed last season and since he got injured in Feb. With Bent: 38 games, 13 wins, 14 draws, 11 loses, 48 scored, 48 conceded, 53 points Without Bent: 36 games, 6 wins, 14 draws, 16 loses, 36 scored, 61 conceded, 32 points Make of that want you want to Even this season we have missed him when he has not played With Bent: 22 games, 6 wins, 9 draws, 7 defeats, 26 goals, 28 conceded, 27 points Without Bent: 14 games, 1 win, 7 draws, 6 defeats, 10 goals, 22 conceded, 10 points Some say sell him but the stats show that despite the 2 poor seasons we are alot better with him than without. Those 38 games he has played for us if you take that as a season he would fo got 18 goals and we would of finished top 10 maybe top 8.
  8. True but there away record is 11 points from 54, even we have more on 19 points from 57 away from hom QPR have the worse away record in the league and they have to go to Chelsea and City who have won 16 from 17 at home
  9. So are QPR. They've won 3 out of the last 5, have strikers who can score, and have shown they can beat the big teams. Plus it's a derby, anything can happen. Chelsea 14 points from the last 6 game at home QPR 1 point from the last 6 games away from home We are in better form that Norwich at the moment and our home form is better than Spurs Away form We are second from bottom in the form table, Wolves are bottom. So I'd love to know how our form is better than Norwich? As you've just said, Chelsea have dropped 4 points at home in the last 6 games - if they drop another one tomorrow it could be the difference. We are 17th in the form guide, Norwich, Blackburn and Wolves are behind us

  11. I truly hope that after the Spurs game we are mathematically safe. However this, and it is only in my humble opinion, is no reason to celebrate. I don't care if this sounds arrogant or big headed but we are ASTON VILLA and we celebrate success not narrowly missing out on failure. Therefore please excuse me if I don't join in during any celebratory cheering and jumping up and down post match. Wont happen unless we get something vs Spurs, QPR could lose the next 2 but could still catch us on GD. Blackburn dont play Wigan till the Monday and if they lose to Spurs will be 6 points behind us with 2 to play
  12. Any news on the fitting, is it going to be skin tight or loose like the Nike kits
  13. Roughly based on Leeds new kit
  14. How have we only had 44% percentage but 12 shots That 1st half reminded me of the QPR 2nd half at Home but we had Keane and Bent upfront then
  15. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2132956/Alex-McLeish-wants-Gabriel-Agbonlahor-remain-Aston-Villa.html#ixzz1scvok0hB
  16. Who gives the likes of Beye, Sidwell and Heskey over 40k a week in wages and did not play them. MON and Lerner gambled to make the Champions League. MON failed and now we are paying the price.
  17. I think that proves that no matter what people said at the club, Staying up and reducing the wage budget was the aim and if McLeesh did that he will not be sacked. If you believe news from the summer, McLeish was 3rd or 4th choice
  18. League Record since August 2010 71, games, 19 wins, 26 draws, 26 defeats, 83 points McLeish is not to blame for all that record
  19. Lack of effort is a sign of poor management. Players never lack for effort in well managed clubs. Fact. Still the player still need to execute right we know they can do it, our passing success rate was less then 70% against United United lacked the effort needed at Wigan and the same with Arsenal today They didn't lack effort, they just had a 'poor day at the office'. That can happen to any team. The thing about well managed teams is that it rarely happens 2 time in a row. Most of our performances on the other hand have been shameful and can only be caused by poor management. Does anyone really think we are well managed? So what has changed at Wigan, the effort the players are putting in, mainly it is still the same manager in charge.
  20. We all know how tough the last 2 seasons have been but for the sack of our football club we need to forget everything that has happened and support the young lads that will decide if we stay up or not. Lets forget about the clown in charge and for the last 5 games cheer on the lads as that support may be the difference in the end.

  22. We could have Martinez in charge but if the players do not put the effort that Wigan did today we will still not win games
  23. Is it me or does that look over from that pic
  24. Where did you get this fixture list from? Some of these games have already been played and if they were still to be played then teams would be playing in excess of 38 games! I uploaded the wrong one, thats all
