  1. Being 11th in the form guide ahead of all 4 teams below us and the likes of Chelsea, Everton and Arsenal show we are improving. The last 6 games includes City, United and Arsenal don't forget
  2. We are 11th in the form guide despite playing, United, City and Arsenal in our last 6 games. We was getting over run in midfield so Lambert changed it and brought 3 fresh legs into the midfield and it worked
  3. Somehow MOTD blamed Benteke for the third goal by not holding the ball and giving KEA a horrible ball back to get.
  4. He was very lucky to escape a serious injury when scoring, judging by this pi
  5. My question what does Lambert say or do at half time to make us play so badly in second half of games, That is now 13 goals conceded in the second half in 12 games, compared to 5 goals in the first half that includes 9 first half clean sheets, the other 3 games we have been behind at half time
  6. If games finished at half time our record would be from 9 games Won: 4 Drew: 3 Lost: 2 Scored: 4 Conceded: 4 Points: 15 We have only been behind twice at half time and that was in the first games of the season, what is going wrong in the second half. Is it our tactics of trying to close teams down hinder us and with a young side we get tired and mistakes happen plus the lack of firepower upfront show we are always going to struggle to close games out.
  7. Bent is right in a way, we have new players to the PL and our squad, you cannot get the team to gel if you rotate players. Today told me Bent and Weimann are the two best finishers at the club and both started when we beat Swansea
  8. This was from October 1st and this was from someone today People say he does not do nothing but he is creating chances, the chances we want home on the end of not creating
  9. It is 20-30 minutes spells that are costing us (Everton, Sunderland and Spurs), that is down mainly to the lack of experience in the team yes we will get better but the season is getting on and we have some hard games coming up For 50 minutes we matched a Spurs side who won at Man Utd last week but one miss chance and one defensive mkistake and we go 1-0 down.
  10. I think QPR, Norwich, Southampton, Reading and Wigan will have worse season's than us, if we can get 7-10 points from the next 6 games,we are at 12-15 points after 11 games, we got 38 last season. After 11 games we had 15 points last season.
  11. True that, the next away game I can go to is Man City, I seem to be off for all the big or most popular away games
  12. Most blocks in the stadium are sold out mate apart from a few, the only one in the Putney End with any sort of availability is P1, the furthest away from the Villa fans. The 3 away game I can go to sell out before my allocation comes up and the 2 I cannot go there was still tickets left
  13. Is it limited availability in all blocks, it is weird how they is still tickets for Spurs yet this will sell out 2 weeks before the game and there is almost twice the allocation.
  14. We have got from 5 points Newcastle (a), Swansea (h) and WBA (h), Last season we pic ked up 0 points in the same games and its is only 1 defeat in 6 games in all comps now. Mistakes will be made as we are a young team and that is 2nd time that back have played together
  15. No matter what people say we are missing Bent's composure in front of goal
  16. Wow, dont win and it is our worse ever league start to a Premier League Season
  17. Kind of funny we are debating Clark when he is the most experienced CB available in terms of PL games and some are worried we lack PL experience in the team.
  18. You all wanted Lambert in charge even though you knew he would buy younger players from lower league, yet you are now moaning, We wanted a squad overhaul and Lambert is doing that, he has his own way of doing things, he did the same at Norwich. Lambert would be doing the same at any other club, it is how his does things, he builds his teams for the long run not for the present. We have only lost Heskey, Collins and Cuellar from last seasons team and we wanted 2 of them out and we have brought 6 new players, our squad is stronger and we have a better manager.
  19. Even if we dont get Dempsey. I like that we actually went for him, shows Lambert and Lerner have each others backing
  20. I don't get the obsession with "big money signings" or "marquee player" Even if we had the money, I still don't think Lambert would spend it all on one player he seems to prefer signings younger players he can mould into a style.
  21. Premier League experience is not the main key factor in success. Saturday line ups total Premier League appearences. Newcastle - 651, Aston Villa - 1052
  22. If everyone was fit plus potential signings if they sign. Given/Guzan, Lowton, Vlaar, Dunne, Bennett, Holman, Petrov, El Ahmadi, Ireland, Benteke, Bent I know Petrov is ill but he would of been the perfect partner for El Ahmadi. I still think he may be back, it is still not a bad team, then we have Gabby, Weimann. Herd, Delph, Albrighton, N'Zogbia, Clark, Lichaj, Baker and Bannan in reserve.
  23. Younger players are more likely to run through brick walls for the team not just sit on a high wage package and walk through each game we aall moaned at N'Zogbia and Bent for doing that in the first 2 league games
  24. Signing young players from lower leagues tend to work better when you are yourself playing in a lower league as Lamberts previous teams has. Secondly i don't think he's signed any unknown players from Europe before he came here. Nothing wrong with this policy if you have quality players for them to play beside and bring them. At the moment we dont. Lower league players along side young players.. wonder where we will end up. So what about Norwich they did not have quality players and they finished 12th. We cannot afford the fees the players you want cost, If it was not for Lerner's money we would probably be in administration you cannot sustain a £56 million loss each year unless you are a top club in the Champions League every year. We spent loads and still did not make the Champions league so maybe a different approach is needed
  25. Lambert is not panicking he has always signed young players from lower leagues and unknown players from Europe, Benteke and Bennett fit that, what did you expect a change to his transfer policy. We could go back to the MON way of overspending on some players and then not play them. I like that we are giving players a chance who might not het a chance in the Premier League otherwise.
