  1. And alot of Guinness at that. Note: Sunday beers are bad. I've recovered now though but 8 hours of drinking in the Big Tree on a Sunday is not advised.
  2. Why do you "despise" Celtic? I don't despise even Small Heath.
  3. This thread made me remember that idiot in a Celtic shirt holding a sign before the Ireland England Rugby match in Croke Park. It read "No to Foreign Games". Dublin Scumbag. I don't really care for either now. I did like Celtic when Martin O'Neill was manager. I only support Aston Villa and AC Milan.
  4. Well until the last episode where Hugo sees them as the miles on the car. They dropped them for 2 series, if they do explain it, it will only be Hugo's numbers not why they were in the hatch.
  5. That's where you've been going wrong Conor. I think you'll find there's alcohol in that Lies make baby Jesus cry.
  6. If they don't explain the numbers it's proof that it's just rubbish. Like why Hugo knows the numbers, why it was on the hatch and why they kept entering the numbers in the hatch. Then dropped them from the show.I think Lost is TV Heroin, you hate it but have to watch it. They have you hooked.
  7. But why do only 18% agree with you and I flashingqerty? Beacuse people are happy to let our best players go without fighting for them. I would be happy to joing Liverpool if I knew I had the blessing of the fans of my current club. But if I thought they were upset at my betrayal I may not be so quick to jump ship. Bottom line is my view is pointless, if I had Zidanes life I would spend most my life at Villa, and see out my contract at 28 or 29 and go to AC Milan and see out my career. It's different with Barry though.
  8. Tom and LivingTheLifeofJesus. Dwight and Gareth are totally different. I would consider what Yorke did understandable, United were dying for a striker, they were kings of England, him going there was the only thing he could do, he was awesome for years for us, those two headers against pool, legend. He did himself no good treatiing us like shit after and he deserves to be villafied for it, Yorke is a tosser. But Barry has never been close to as good as Yorke was. Barry knows he really isn't that great, he's been good this season but lets be honest he's a Steve Sidwell or a Scott Parker not a Paul Ince or Roy Keane. I'll think him a poor man should he leave, I won't be a nice person to him or consider his memory worth a shit. But I may consider if to boo him, I'll have to wait till the time he returns before......
  9. Excellent post mate. Probably sums up most peoples view on the situation.
  10. AVFC1874, it's the timing too, we have just ended a great season the club has never been in this good shape going into the summer. Martin O'Neill is a godsend, we really can kick on. Why would he want to leave now? for Liverpool. I can't understand it. If I was in Barrys shoes I wouldn't be interested in Liverpool, only Arsenal or United or AC Milan or Real Madrid. I can't understand leaving for a club who will never win the Premier LEague and who's champions League triumph was the luckiest thing to happen in football ever.
  11. I don't believe the Loyalty thing, nobody wanted to sign him for 8 years and only in our dark dark days 2 years ago was Pompey interested. His loyalty has never been tested until now. I just get angered that our captain would treat our club like this, what kind of message will that send out if our captain jumps ship to a team we intend to overhaul in the next two years. Can he not see how important his decision is going to be to this club. I don't think I could forgive him going to Liverpool, Arsenal or United maybe because they are the real big 2 clubs in English Football.
  12. Our Captain ditching our club to go to a direct rival at the first opportunity. How can people not be angered by this, I really don't know. The poll doesn't lie though. I'm in the minority.
  13. This is SOOOO different it's madness. Mellberg saw out his contract and left this club to go abroad and see out the end of his career at the age of 30. The fact he was not a guaranteed starter next season is also a factor. The man gave us his best years, thanked us and wanted to experience another league. Similar to a Legenday Man United Keeper in 99. Barry is our captain, was convinced by MON to stay two years ago, by promosing him this club would make progress, we've gone from 16th to 11th to 6th. All promises of progress have been met. He was an ok player 2 years ago, Martin has made him an England regular ...and now he turns around and says thanks for your help a top 4 club wants me now. I know you've delivered what your promised but I'm off. It's to Liverpool too, they will never win anything meaningful again. If it was United I could at least understand a bit, you're gonna win a shit load of trophies with them.
  14. This has nothing to do with anything but...No, I've never booed anybody. Ron did hios job, as Ridgwell has done this season
  15. I do love listing the players Rafa has bought and then sold. He's got a spurs style scatter gun aproach to finding talent, sign anything that moves and some of it must be good. Than and Liverpool and United fans in Ireland are glory hunters, just depends which decade they grew up in.
  16. Tell me about it. Sit beside two Liverpool fans in work and two of my best mates are pool fans too. 24/7 I tell ya, half of them don't even want Barry. I can't stand it. Oh and kkr I agree 100%
  17. True, the boo's will be heard loudest even though it may only be 1/6th of the ground. So you were expecting a larger amount of people would boo him too. I honestly though that the majority would boo him, really did. Stunned by this poll, I really am. I may have very forceful and at times aggressive views on things particularly this situation. But I love this club and Brian as you know being from Dublin you have to defend against United and particularly Liverpool clearings in the woods talking crap all day long.
  18. You're right Brian, I'm actually stunned by this poll, very surprised indeed. I thought 50%+ would boo him. I really thought people would be angry at Barry for what I consider a betrayal of the fans anf Manager. That being said, I'd be quite sure that if he did leave for Liverpool I think you would hear loud boos upon his return to Villa park. Also how do you feel on the situation?
  19. Sorry kurt, he has engineered this move, he has made comments in a press conference saying he needs to be selfish this summer. Which is a come and get me plea. It looks like he'll join a direct rival, a club 2 places higher in the league, by joining them he weakens our team and strengthens theirs. Also I'm sure everything Martin promised him 2 years ago has been achieved, he's even an England regular. Martin O'Neill made him the player he is today. If he has any loyalty at all he would stay.
  20. You may think you summed it up perfectly but I don't. A lot of the things you said were true, but end up with a statement like "Go to Liverpool now and your ten years count as nothing". Absurd Some comments are added for effect, use words correctly and people remember them. Obviously his 10 years are not for nothing but I would consider leaving us now for Liverpool a betrayal of this club, I would be angry about it. It would tarnish his time at VP if at the first opportunity he jumps ship to a rival.
  21. Luckily for me, due to your comments as of late, your opinion now means less to me than a baked potato's. I don't even recognise your username so care little what you think. You're obviously one of the Villa Talk sheep.
  22. I think I summed it up perfectly in my mail in the F365 mailbox this afternoon.
