  1. Cop on mate, we created the chances to finish them off in the second half, we controlled the game for almost the 90 mins. It was a solid performance and a pretty comfortable victory. We were the better team. Some people, when the negativity creeps in it never abates. I pity people who cant enjoy victories.
  2. He played well today against a very mundane Bolton team, but one swallow doesn't make the summer. He's be consistently solid for two years now, so I'm pretty sure it's not one swallow. Remember he was palyers player and fans player of the year last year. He is still a scapegoat for many on here, but he is very consistent, very experienced and a good captain.
  3. Milner will be well rested now, with time off this week for the whole team he'll have had a full 2 weeks between Chelsea games. I know he had a knock but he made the bench so could've played. Glad he, Downing and Cuellar have had breaks in the past couple of weeks, will do them good.
  4. Petrov deserve credit for his performance today, real captain performance.
  5. So our "Slump" is WDDLW Some slump, If we can beat Everton we are right back in it. Huge two games coming up, Milner rested and all.
  6. GET THE **** IN, What a day, Spurs losing before they have three impossible games coming up.
  7. Yep to defend long balls to Davies. Good team selection, especially wth Delph and Petrov in Centre, Milner rested after Downing was rested last week. Very good team. It's been a shame Reo-Coker has been injured recently, he does a job, and does it well. Especially when needed to add energy and grit off the bench. He would've replaced Petrov a few times on 70mins in a few games recently.
  8. Its easier to understand your constant negativism reading this prediction for our season. I've never read a "supporter" so negative about their club. What's baffling is that you are not over the moon with our current season given this is what you expected?
  9. Read this thread people, and get your expectations in check and lay off the manager and team. 6% expected a top 4 finish.
  10. I hope martin learns from this. He has to rotate players earlier in the season even if he feels it will weaken his sides chances of victory. The benefits will be reaped at this point in the season. I find it hard to believe we can ever achieve 4th spot under this manager and owner, yet I'm ready to accept that. Liverpool will be back and City will splash the cash and Redknapp despite being a vile human being is a superior manager to O'Neill, and Spurs have superior resources. Unless Randy wants to give a war chest to O'Neill to compete, I'm happy for us to give up the ghost and focus on winning one of the cups, including the Europa. It's probably time to settle, we're not good enouygh and wont be good enough to compete for 4th.
  11. O'Neill is at fault for not using his squad earlier in the season. If he insists on playing the same 11 he needs to field reserve teams in all cup competitions.
  12. We need to beat Chelsea and hope Spurs slip up big time. Season is all about the FA Cup. At least Spurs beat Fulham so 7th is still UEFA Cup unless Pompey make the final. But it is typical Villa slipping up like this.
  13. Get in. We don't deserve it for a lazy performance
  14. If Martin has any guts he'll play Delph, Sidwell, Delfouneso and Davies in the next two games and rest some players. We can beat Burnley with a few changes.
  15. We need to rest ALOT of players for Palace AND Burnley and come with a fresh team for the rest of the season.
  16. First 35 mins of that second half were a disgrace. **** disgraceful. We won't get 4th because of our belief that not getting beat is better than trying to win.
  17. We tried for the last 10 mins, but that was a disgrace.
