Trust me, nothing about Weimann is world class. Jesus Christ, we do like to get carried away! I like Andi, and I think he could become a good player for us, but world class? So he finishes as well as Messi, Falcao, Suarez, Aguero does he? Sorry to single you out, but I just hate it when the 'world class' line gets trotted out when it is undeserved.

I still see it popping up in threads, apart from last season claiming that the aim was Europe, what has this guy actually done wrong? I think Faulkner has been the scapegoat for a lot of things over the last 2/3 years, that ultimately have been Lerner's decisions.

This. As frustrated as we all are, I just don't see how abusing the players helps anything. I have a horrible feeling though that this will get a whole lot worse before it gets better. The problem is that this sort of attitude from fans puts players under increased pressure, and if it becomes a regular thing in home games too then it takes away some of the home advantage IMO - teams will know to frustrate us for 20 minutes or so, and 'the fans will turn'.

That's more like it! I'd be delighted if that came off, maybe an extra £1m or £2m might do it! I see someone mentioned Flamini a couple of posts up, not that the wages would be reasonable but he'd be a great defensive midfielder - knows the Prem, real quality. For someone like him, could we not offer him a large signing on fee to subsidize his wages?

I'm going to stick my neck on the line, and state that in 12 months time that no-one will be doubting his place in our team. The abuse he was getting last night was embarrassing, as embarrassing as Villa's performance! I've always been proud of our away following, but last night was one to forget.

I'm as upset with yesterday's result as everybody else, but I still back the manager 100%. I may be a fool for that, but I am tired of change - I think the next 3 games will tell us whether or not Lambert is a man capable of taking us forward.

To be honest Trent, CNZ 'playing for a move' would probably be the best for both parties - we get a decent attacking mid/winger to help get us out of the shit, then we get him off the wage bill next season. I agree with you about his inconsistency, and his attitude, I suppose I'm just holding on to any hope that I can during such a bad season.

I hope that CNZ can start to show some of his Wigan form finally, he kept them up almost single-handedly a couple of years back. He's had more than enough time to settle in, he needs shipping out in the summer if he doesn't start producing on a regular basis - he's on too big a wage to be bench-warming!

Assuming we don't sell DB, I hope we bring in an experienced CB, an experienced CDM, and an experienced winger. I think if we're clever, that could be done for under £20m, which is what Randy paid to get us out of the relegation shit when he bought Bent 2 years ago. I think the signings of defensive quality are important, as if we carry on shipping goals as we are then we will go down - we rarely look like scoring more than 2 goals per game, but we look like we could concede anytime we are attacked!

I do wonder if PL had absolutely no intention of selling DB, and everything that has happened in the last few months has been done to light a fire under him? DB looked pretty lively in the cup game at Norwich before doing his hamstring, perhaps he was being brought back into the team then? An on-form Darren Bent can only be good for us, especially when we're sat one point off the drop-zone!

A player who has never fulfilled his potential. I understand that the injuries may have robbed a bit of pace, but he's clumsy on the ball and his tackling is disgraceful. He offers no goal threat, and his positional sense is poor. Yet another waste of money, we're like a f***ing charity for football clubs!

While I don't believe for one second that we will sign Lescott, he is not an intregal part of their squad - He's played 3 games in the league this season.

Is this just the relegation threat talking, or are people just forgetting what a f***ing waste of space that Warnock is? Seriously, if Bennett still isn't cutting the mustard by the end of the season, I will be shocked! Give the lad time, were Ashley Young, Downing or Milner good for us straight away?

I actually am beginning to think that we are getting relegated this season. How I see it, we need 20 points from 17 games - I just can't see us winning 6 more games, and lets say we win 3? Can anyone see us drawing 11 games? I can't see us finishing on more than 35 points, I just hope and pray that it will be enough!

A real shame. I think he has talent, but lacks the heart and drive required to make it as a Premier League player. I can see him kicking around the Championship/League 1 for the rest of his career.
