  1. I just never understand when people start mentioning 3 or 4 players to bring into the club in January. We didn't do it when we were spending competitively with our rivals so I definitely don't see us doing it now. We will probably confirm Cleverley as a full transfer, and get a loan.
  2. He won't!! Remember Mcleish was on the same points this time 2011, so its hardly a massive achievement He won't what? In order for us to finish 12th our football performances would have to notably improve (our current style is going to see us struggle big time) so by default Lambert would redeem himself. But we're 12th now with the current style of football with, arguably, easier fixtures to come. So I'm not sure that really makes sense. If we carry on playing the way we are we will be burnt out by feb, March, so not we won't finish 12th, unless Lambert has a little more faith in his team and we change the style. Again Mcleish was 9th at this time last season an we finished 16th, with probably the same style. That wasn't the question though. The season is over, we've finished 12th. What would be your opinion?
  3. I think the Yorke v Benteke debate is one for later in the big man's career. He hasn't achieved anything as yet...
  4. If that stat is true then I bet there is a stat on the internet showing that Hilter was good for the Jews? Just shows how much meaningless tripe there is in the www. Or it just doesn't back up you constantly stating how rubbish we are?
  5. Because that would mean giving the manager some credit, and you know full well that is not allowed!
  6. Tell me how your season on Football Manager pans out. I think that's the only way we'll be seeing that sort of business in January unfortunately.....
  7. Without wanting to get carried away after one performance, if he can maintain that level then ideally I think the club would benefit from a 'McGrath' style training routine for Joe. It worked wonders for Ledley King, and I'm sure many others.
  8. Could be, then Cole back in the starting 11 for the weekend (assuming no breakdowns).
  9. Check the stats, you'll see that you are wrong. Indeed Burnley had chances at the end, but we should've been out of sight by then. I'm talking about big chances, don't waste your time at half chances. Doesn't count in my book.Right. So what you're basically going off of is what you watched on MOTD? If I'm being honest, it makes your opinion sound a tad foolish if you are going to ignore facts.
  10. Check the stats, you'll see that you are wrong. Indeed Burnley had chances at the end, but we should've been out of sight by then.
  11. Get lost with your logic. Nobody wants to hear your sensible opinion alright!
  12. I know his distribution isn't great, but I think if it was better then he would be playing for a better club IMO. He commands his box well, comes for crosses, and is a great shot-stopper. I can forgive his average kicking when he makes saves like the one against Mane on Monday night.
  13. That makes it no more excusable on Lerner's part. Not one iota. If he did conclude that a manager who finished with less than 40 points last season suddenly earnt a new contract on the back of four games then he is as short-sightedly retarded as the many fans who jumped back into the pro-Lambert camp during that period. For what it's worth, I think he always wanted to offer Lambert a new contract, even before the season started.Calling people retarded now? Classy.
  14. Trouble is, any criticism from lambert would leave him facing an fa charge and a fine with a possible touchline ban with it.Exactly. It's another thing to criticise him for though so.....
  15. I feel that Westwood should've got the ball clear in the build-up the the foul for Spurs' winner.
  16. Shame, you wonder how good he could've been without the knee injuries at a vital part of his development. I still cling on to the feint hope that he can still develop, much like Delph has, as he also had a couple of terrible injuries as a young player.
  17. I understand where you're coming from, but the guy has proven in International games that he is capable of holding his own at a high standard, so he needs to be given a start IMO if they feel he is ready. He has looked a little off the pace in the glimpses we've seen, but he's been here for 2 months now so hopefully they've seen improvements on the training pitch that show he's getting up to speed. Perhaps he was getting a game almost on reputation before? With no disrespect meant to QPR, it is the 'easiest' of the last 6 games we've had, and probably the next 2 or 3 after that. I would suggest that it is the ideal game to put him in, especially coming off the back of a poor performance at Everton, and adding in Delph's injury obviously. I'd go with the team that Omariqy suggested, I feel that's our strongest 11 at the moment with the players we've got available.
  18. But it's said manager that found the player no?
  19. That actually had me crying. Can I have your permission to steal that one for use in the real world?
  20. Yesterday was the final straw for me. I would gladly see him training with the kids after the walking off when substituted. I hope he at the very least gets fined for that!
  21. Jesus Christ, he's painful to watch when lacking fitness or out of form. It was like watching Emile Heskey at times today.
  22. Good news. I just hope Jack doesn't think he's 'made it' and not fulfil his potential.
  23. I'm glad he is going to sign, but has he really earnt a £20k p/w deal? I suppose that's probably a mistake on the clubs part for not getting this sorted sooner!
  24. I think he'll sign a new deal. That is all.
  25. I think this book makes me love him more.
