If they get a point against Croatia they qualify. So if they don't loose that then the wales game becomes irrelevant so there would be no point him playing in that one and risking his fitness. My feeling is he might be on the bench for the important Croatia game.
Yes in fairness we cant really claim him as one of ours although he did play for us at the backend of his career. His definitive years were with Wolves. perhaps their greatest ever player.
Yes he was at fault for those goals but he also made some good saves and Bayern murdered them and should have got double figures really. Bayern looked on nailed on favourites to retain the champions league.
Well he didn't play against Spurs in the cup! Anyway we've no involvement in Europe, we've only got the league and FA cup to concern us. 6 games into the season with a 3 week break we don't need to concern ourselves about resting players at this stage. Maybe later in the season!
I never saw him play but he's one of the all time great wolves players from their golden era. He came to use when he was a little over the hill. In those days you were generally past it at 30. Great great footballer.
Limited choice of strikers although the one they have playing now is pretty good. They have a few players to come back from injury. Their midfield is just about the best in the league. Ozil and Ramsey is a totally different player this season. if only he was English! Defence isn't bad. Whether the squad is good enough to win the league I don't know. They probably need to invest in a striker in January but they wont get Benteke unless they offer stupid money.
We have no reason to sell him in January now though do we. They can offer what they like! He wont go anywhere unless we are offered stupid money like 50 mil.
Did Lukaku score against us for West Brom? Spurs don't score many goals and it will be a different game to the cup one. West Ham away may not be a foregone conclusion. They are a home side.
Its impossible to predict this type of thing. In the first six games how many would have predicted us to beat Arsenal and City and loose to Newcastle. I think we'll get something from the two home games against Spurs and Everton. It could be 4 pts it could be 2 or 3 but we wont loose them both.
Amalfitano is on loan, maybe opened up some other managers eyes.
Berahinos contract runs out at the end of this season and is apparently only on £850 a week. A lot of Albion's solutions are short term.
Lukaku worked for them last season and seems like these might as well. But problem with short term options is what if they don't? If they were to go down and lose key players for nothing that'd put them in a right shit situation.
Don't really like the loan system at all. I don't think Premier League clubs should be able to loan players between each other either.
Funnily enough as the years have gone on and all the stick he has got from the Arsenal fans wanting rid of him. he's grown on me! Didn't used to mind United but now hate them. Hate City in particular and Chelsea. Guess because they were clubs no bigger than us and they have bought success rather than earned it.
yep, the stats for arsenals form are mad, I think the koscielny / mertesacker partnership has lost 1 game in 25 or something daft, they've been in great form since march, not since we beat them
Although we had the toughest of starts to the season I am so glad we played Arsenal first game. Mind you if they go on and win the league then they owe us a favour. Wenger out!
