  1. Yes its a nightmare waiting to happen. "The current, extraordinarily low levels of Bank interest rates, combined with quantitative easing and subsidies for credit, are an aberration. At some point, they will be replaced by more normal conditions, something for which millions of households are still not ready."
  2. I agree with scarlett Johansson I have always found Naomi Watts very nice too and one from the past Ali MacGraw who was really beautiful when younger. She's aged better than most actually
  3. Absolute nonsense. Really? He said it himself when he signed. He may see a future other than Villa to progress his own ambitions, but comments like he may well want to play for Belgium indicate that he doesn't want to play for us. He gives it 110% for us and at the end of the day, we will get a hell of a lot more than we paid for him. We are still a stepping stone though. So are Man Utd, so are Spurs. The problem with AVFC wasn't who we sold its who we replaced them with. To think we had Downing, Milner, and Young and we effectively replaced them with N'Zogbia, Ireland and Bent. Absolutely true mate. A waste of money all over the place. In all fairness few of us would have disagreed with the signing of Nzog. It just hasn't worked out!
  4. He also has predicted 8-1 west brom against Arsenal. Copying Ripping yarns score lol
  5. Naturally he will want to give his all for us but ultimately he wants to play champions league football and be a big part of the golden generation of Belgium football. Cant blame him for that!
  6. yep, Quentin Letts was very annoying and Dimbleby gave him more time than he deserved. Blaming the economy on Welfare. what utter crap. Most of the welfare is pensions anyway.
  7. Moeen Ali PCA Cricketer of the year 2013. Congratulations. Been a fan since his younger days at Warwickshire. Great player to watch.
  8. Benefit fraud doesn't really account for that much but its suits the govt to go after them rather than tax avoidance. unfortunately genuine claimants are already suffering.
  9. Its good to have them both back to increase our options! Guess Baker will miss out! Sylla or Westwood - opinions are divided
  10. unlikely. But surely he wont play if his hip isn't right.
  11. I've only read bits of the thread so not up to speed like you guys, so the unemployment figures are not accurate at all and if they force the long term unemployment into schemes then they will come off the figures as well. Then theres the under 25s. So not only are they attacking the poor they are going to make themselves look good doing it. Scumbag government! since your post got 2 likes from the left foot forward brigade I can only assume it's for your use of the word "scumbag government " their chance to confirm that it's the policy of massaging figures and that they are not hypocrites is published below for them to issue Likes for example in 2001 the unemployed statics were changed so that and so on massaging figures is nothing new , and I suspect the next government already has a cunning plan to remove a few more hundred thousand off a headline figure I shouldn't have used those words, but I'm far from left myself and I know govts have been massaging figures for 30/40 years or more but its not just that. Its this hate campaign against the poorest in our society and everything else that goes with it that I cant stand. We've become a very selfish country.
  12. In all fairness I can understand Benteke wanting to go and be part of the Belgium squad. We on here think Villa are more important but we're not. I think we were saying that Benteke should stay at Villa because he will play more and that will increase his chances of being part of the Belgium world cup team. We cant have it both ways!
  13. true, he did have a good run of goals in the 2nd half of last season

    Everton

Barry in was a great move, He's helped make the Martinez transition look easy, so far. Yes plus McCarthy and Lukaku then there's the 19 yr old and keeping Baines. I thought we might compete with them this season but they are still some way ahead of us unfortunately.
  15. Ok mustn't be too confident! It will be nice to win with two tough home games to follow. When was the last time we won 3 in a row?

  17. 13 league goals in 2009/10 is his best and 12 the previous season. He was progressing under MON, but problem is we cant play 2 strikers unless we have the system which many hate on here. It wasn't the formation in my view it was the players we had playing it. I believe Weimann would also score goals as a second striker.
  18. One thing that would be good is not to have the usual comments of "Two poor sides" like when we beat Norwich
  19. True they haven't played a top club apart from Spurs, but you sense right now they could beat any of their rivals. It gives us a certain pride to be the only club to have beaten them.
  20. What has happened to Hart? He was really good. Maybe the pressure has got to him. I'm quite happy that he keeps making mistakes for city.
  21. I'll take that if we beat them at home as well.
  22. We beat the mighty Arsenal away from home. The only game they have lost since March I think. Surely we can beat a newly promoted side. football doesnt work like that though I know but I couldn't think of anything else.
  23. He Aldo has pace which people seem to forget. It's a misconception that he isn't talented. And isn't an intelligent player. He makes a lot of intelligent runs. He's not a main striker though . He's best playing off a target man really.
