  1. Not writing him off, he was just poor today.
  2. Yes we have missed him since he came off against Norwich really. We weren't the same after against Norwich. We didn't look like scoring today.
  3. But surely with his height and presence he should be able to win more headers than he does and hold the ball up. Also his first touch is atrocious. Yes you expect him to be able to do the basics like control a football. Its easy to put the blame on the midfield who I think did ok today.
  4. Yep maybe apart from Sylla. but they will come good.
  5. He and a few others now have nothing to prove, they have had their new contract. I just hope he picks up soon. I hope that isn't the reason. To be fair he came from Crewe. He was not meant to be a regular last season but did exceptionally well but hes finding it tougher now. Maybe Sylla should replace him but I think he will come good again.
  6. Really I think the longer the season goes and with injuries etc I can see them being turned over quite a few times at home. To me they look a relegation team far more than Norwich did when we played them.
  7. Fair point but it was a shit ball in.
  8. It does show our lack of options when he is the one that comes on for Agbonlahor.
  9. Although Agbonlahor has played well this season he has missed a lot of good chances. Weimann 2nd season syndrome really. I think he will come good as long as the fans stay with him.
  10. Nor me he's playing as well as anyone in midfield.
  11. Is he because Benteke will be here all season and surely hes been bought for this season mainly as cover.
  12. Yes and I think if Lambert thought Helenius could come in and do a better job he would pick him. Stick with Andi he will come good soon.
  13. Considering Davies outplayed him all day id be very surprised, but,he does need some kind of service from somewhere, before either one of us will know. Again, a playmaker perhaps? Looking at the goal against Norwich, if we had somebody decent behind him? But there were two occasions when he got great service and he messed up both times. I'm not knocking him but I think he needs to improve quite a bit.
  14. Mostly this unfortunately. Yes apart from the fact that we would have never looked like beating Arsenal and City last season, never mind keep a clean sheet. We’ve managed both, i suggest to look up progress means and then check again... Ok, let me put it this way... Do you think we're playing better football now than we were, say, the last 8/9 games last season? No, of course not, we looked a pretty good outfit at the end of last season, had we played that way from the start, no doubt we'd have finished top half. This season we look to have gone backwards, there's no point bleating on about the Citeh game, that was a game we shouldn't have won, and the Gooner game was just a freakshow, every team gets those once or twice a season. I admire your optimism, I really do, unfortunately I don't see it that way. True we are not playing as well as the backend of last season, but we have made progress compared to the way we started last season. We also had the most prolific scorer in Europe in five of those last six games. It tends to make a difference when that sort of calibre player is not playing! Yes we got lucky against City but we will struggle to win matches without Benteke.
  15. He looked like he was struggling a bit 2nd half. He was great first half though!
  16. For Kozak maybe, then he at least he could hold the ball up and bring Weimann into the game more.

  18. He played well against city didn't he! he just wasn't at it today but he did do a couple of good things 2nd half, one of which should have led to a goal! Maybe he needs Benteke to work off not Kuzak because I don't think Kuzak is in tune with the rest of the team yet. We lack width at times.
  19. Yes but there were crosses, ok many were poor but I bet Benteke would have made more of them. Agbonlahor set him up first half and what did he do! he controlled it with his hand.
  20. Did he really! Oh dear! Well guess he has to stick up for his players.
  21. It's Hull. So? Should we automatically beat all promoted sides every time we play them? Last season Southampton did the double over us. If we beat Hull at home, then 4 points taken from a promoted side will be decent. So these are the teams that we really ought to be beating. Are you telling me you're happy with a point from Hull? Did you watch the match? They sat back all game and flooded the midfield, Bruce was obviously playing tactics that wouldn't allow us to catch them on the counter attack, It was tough game and we still managed to create some decent chances. Just because it's Hull and not Man Utd doesn't mean they are completely shit and should be a walk over for us. It's not easy to break a team down that are set up like Hull were simple as that. If Weimann and Kozak had of been playing to any kind of decent standard then I believe we would of won easily. yes comparing Lambert to Mcleish is wrong. Its Bruce that set up at home like Mcleish. Hull offer nothing, unlike Blackpool did so hope they go down.
  22. Yes his head was wrong. I would like to see Delph play further forward. He starts most of our moves deep inside his own area. What a waste! What damage he could do further up the pitch
  23. Helenius is unproven. I think Albrighton should have been on the bench today.
  24. Out of Delph, El Ahmadi and Westwood, I demand the most attacking quality from El Ahmadi and Westwood, then Delph. Of that three, Delph is the key defensive player. El Ahmadi has stepped up his defensive qualities this season too but Delph just edges it for me. But Delph is the most creative out of the three. He was a class above any other player on the pitch in my view.
