Agreed. I think some fans like to just look forward to watching their team in the World Cup. Why has it got to be "Oh well we won't win it". So? Who cares, we're not expected to win it, we don't expect to win it. It's great to watch them compete undoubtedly, but it's great thinking that they have an outside chance of winning too. I'm not even getting a hint of that niggle of a feeling this time. England as the Birthplace of the game and having a massive football industry should be able to achieve those expectations that in my opinion. Or am I being too harsh? No I don't think so but expectations have dropped. Even at home we would struggle to win it but in Brazil its impossible!

He's been a revelation. We've seen many players with similar attributes who are afraid to have a go so its so refreshing to see a player play without any fear. He will be a threat to any defence. Wellbeck is rubbish though isn't he.

I guess he'd take winning Wimbledon over winning 4 or atp tour events but its not been as good as 2012 I agree. Is it all about winning majors or is about trying to get to no1. in the world, which he has never done and something Djokovic is going to be very eager to get back as soon as possible. The competition for Murray will be even tougher next year with a fired up Djokovic and if Nadal stays fit.

From what I read he sounded very much like he had sciatica. Probably didn't need the op but it will help him get back to full recovery quicker. Not a major problem though! Obviously it kept him from competing in the French. Winning Wimbledon is his dream come true. Nailed on certainty for Sports personality of the year! I don't know about disappointing season though because if expectations were like he was going to win 2 or 3 slam events after winning the US Open then they were misguided. Nadal wasn't around for much of 2012.

Yes Wimbledon was the big highlight. Obviously next year Murray will have ample opportunity to get back into the top 3. You really have to hand it to Djokovic. From the start of the season until the end of the season he has been competing for every tournament. Maybe he only won one major but he also got to two other slam finals and one semi in which he came so close to beating Nadal on his favourite surface. No other player does that! Not even Nadal who lost early at Wimbledon.

Yes but the international break will maybe negate the wound thing a little bit.

I have a good friend Jane who was diagnosed with a stage 3 ovarian cancer 7 years ago. It came back a year later and she was given 6 months to live. There was something like a 1% of surviving more than a year and here we are 6 years on and still in remission. She changed her diet, she goes to a healer. She has a very positive mind and that can help beat such a terrible desease.

I bought an acer laptop a few months back with it on. The desktop experience was a bit irritating but once you get familiar with the keyboard shortcuts, it is ok. I guess its better on a touchscreen computer.

I always thought he was a model professional. Obviously he didn't fit in with Lambert and he was never going to be happy when a player like Bowery was being picked ahead of him. I've nothing against him, his goal scoring record in the Premier League is up there with the best. However I think we have to move on now.
