  1. Yes and its a bit niave to think we can bring in academy players and expect them to do better. If they were ready or good enough at this stage then I'm sure Lambert would play them. There's many calls for Tonev but the last start he had in the league he was awful and its too risky to start him in a game against Everton.
  2. Everton are going to be favourites. We need to start well and get the first goal. I just cant predict Villa results against any side really especially at home.
  3. and I'm sick of hearing about this contract taking the edge off his play. It hasn't he's just going through a lean patch which happens to strikers. Lambert will stick with him and you can guarantee he will be in the starting 11 tomorrow no matter what many of the posters on here want.
  4. Whittingham is a legend at Cardiff, scores goals, 65 in 277 league games for Cardiff, brilliant at set pieces and can pick a pass. No we couldn't have done with the type of player have been sadly lacking for years.
  5. I must be missing something because we rarely keep it for more than 2 or 3 passes. Certainly didnt on Sunday where the entire team was poor with the ball, really poor. Not that that was a surprise mind. Very true and that's the whole team that's responsible for that and not just the midfield. Our defenders often hoof the ball up the pitch bypassing the midfield. Even Guzan kicks more than he throws and it mormally comes straight back as Kozak rarely wins anything. It should help a bit with Benteke back in the team. It will be interesting to see how much possession we have against Everton.
  6. and Benteke has never said hew wanted to spend the rest of his career at Villa like Delph
  7. Yep shows his commitment to Villa.
  8. Harsh considering he took over the club less than a year ago and got them promoted.
  9. So there is a quota of how many decisions by the manager can be crticised before your opinion becomes worthless? Okey Dokey! No not a quota, as such more like we know you don't like Lambert, we know it, so anything Lambert does you will knock it anyway. If we beat someone, it'll be about how the other team was so bad. You made a statement there about favouritism, and it proves that very point, another fan could say its loyalty he is showing to players like Westwood and Weimann, knowing they will come good. You say favouritism, if he shown favouritism surely KEA wouldn't be in the side with the majority wanting Sylla in the side. Except that I have never once called for Lambert to go. I back him but remain unconvinced by him. As for the favoritism argument, if it were about showing loyalty then he wouldn't have dropped Lowton. Puting an out of form Westwood back into the team after the midfield three played well enough against Man City is just blatant favoritism however you may try and spin it. Same goes for keeping an abject Weimann in the team week-upon-week when Lowton was dropped for less. We had 33% possession against City. Generally we have more possession with Westwood in the team. I don'f agree with this favouritism thing.
  10. I respect your view. Was this because of the quality of the opposition and Arsenal not being allowed the usual time on the ball they get in the Premier League. Ramsey probably had his worst game of the season although was unlucky to have that goal ruled out. I thought Arsenal dominated the 2nd half and were undone by the sucker punch. Definately no gulf in class like we saw when Man City played Bayern when Bayern killed them.
  11. Yep I find it strange that anybody can be critical about Delph the way he has performed this season. I think he's still a work in progress anyway.
  12. I think Arsenal were a bit unlucky to loose that and I think they will get something at Dortmund and Napoli.
  13. Yes he should have signed a playmaker in the summer.
  14. In our first 8 games we have amazingly played all of the top 5 in the Premier League. It couldn't have been tougher so on reflection 10 points is pretty. After the Everton games lets hope it gets a little easier.
  15. Yes he has been our best player by a mile.
  16. personally i'd prefer Weimann as the second striker because his less static. He'll feed off the Benteke flicks ons better than Agbonlahor.
  17. I have to admit he has been very isolated up front and obviously balls into his head haven't worked. He was slightly better against City when Weimann was up front alongside him. although his ball control and lack of pace is a little alarming.
  18. Yes and with Lowton there is a good alternative but we have no-one to replace Westwood. Cant see Sylla and KEA playing together. Its one or the other!
  19. well the only home game we've won this season was with that formation
  20. and you can guarantee he will be in the starting 11 saturday no matter what many of the fans think of him on here.
  21. If his dribbles were higher up the pitch they may come to more. He works so hard and covers so much ground we are not getting the most out of his skills.
  22. Good post. Been saying this for quite some time that the balance is wrong in midfield. I also think we're a little too lightweight as well and need a bit more physicality. I am not sure that is it though. Any opposing holding midfielder(s) really don't have much to worry about aside from our forwards running into their space. Imagine a holtby type player instead of KEA for example giving opposing midfielders something to worry about. We make their job very easy as they can sit in front of their back 4 and see all 3 of our midfield in front of them. With an intelligent AM in there it would mean these players getting dragged around or at least having their attention divided more than it currently is. Right now we rely far too much on the rapid attacks of our front three in transition and our midfield trio are just in there for hard work which i don't think suits westwoods passing game or work off the ball. That is what i think anyhow. Good post, i very much agree. There is a place for Westwood in the team playing the Carrick role but I'd prefer Delph playing a more advance role. he makes lots of runs from deep positions beating players. It seems that each season we have to have players to pick on. this season its Weimann and Westwood. I see their value in the team! But the theme of your posts suggest that our midfield isn't functioning properly so there must be a reason for that. To be blunt our midfield players lack quality and physicality and that's why we will continue to produce poor football. I don't know I think we spend to much time chasing the ball that when we get it we just give it away.

    Windows 8

Windows 95 wasn't the first 32-bit OS (VMS, Unix, et al say "hi"). It wasn't even the first 32-bit OS for x86 (OS/2 and Linux say "hi"). It wasn't even the first 32-bit Windows (Windows NT (and arguably Windows 3.x with the Win32s libraries) says "hi"). It wasn't even really 32-bit (there was a whole lot of 16-bit DOS lurking under the hood). Fair enough i did mean the first proper 32 bit windows excluding Nt. I just think crap or decent doesn't do the os's justice.
  24. Drop KEA so Sylla for him. If Clarke is fit then he should replace Baker and that's it.
