  1. Yes we have plenty of seamers but we are thin on the batting front. Woakes should now be looked upon as a batting a batting allrounder. He is really is a better batsman than he is given credit for. He should have that no.6 spot for England.
  2. Yes 11 pts from 10 games on paper is not very good but when taken into account the teams we have played its probably above par. Our away for of 2 wins 2 draws and 1 defeat is excellent. Now is the time for us to start picking up a few wins beginning saturday, I just read the Tom Ross article. How stupid is he. West Brom on 13 pts are on vourse for 50 pts and we are on course for 41 pts. Has he not noticed we have had much more difficult fixtures.
  3. We signed him from Sussex. I have no issues really as he was never good enough for first class cricket. So he could only ever be t20 player and ocasional one day player for us. He came as a batsman and then they discovered he could swing the ball but problem is he was never really quick enough and he wasn't a top order batsman either.
  4. I think he is a problem member certainly more than Clarke and Baker who have been pretty good this season.
  5. I hope Peter Whittingham gets a good reception from the Villa crowd.
  6. Could do but why change something that is actually working.
  7. Thats a really good point. We tend to be more long ball this season
  8. He's still well above his level if you ask me. He's an international so his level cant be too bad San Marino players are also internationals... but they dont beat teams like Croatia
  9. He's looked good all season. Big improvement on last season. Proving to be a good buy now
  10. Yes i agree, but i would prefer Sylla to play than KEA
  11. Yes to me he's underwhelming. Sylla and him in the same side - I don't like it, never will!
  12. Me neither fed off scraps against West Ham, i thought he looked quite sharp. Goals will come. no worries there. There's only two players in the Villa side i don't worry about thats him and Guzan
  13. They play different roles. Ramsey is playing further forward than Wiltshire this season. Though this is now quite off topic! True this is about Westwood of course. Our midfield is probably our weakest area now our defence has improved.
  14. He's still well above his level if you ask me. He's an international so his level cant be too bad
  15. I'm not just talking about saturday .Anyway its only an observation
  16. Remarkable run of results since the us open final for Djokovic. i admire him so much because he's the only player that competes in every tournament. His fitness levels are amazing. One day off then Federer tomorrow night in the o2. How can footballers get tired playing 1 or 2 games a week
  17. And has to work hard for chances, unlike more creative teams he doesn't get much of a break and has to rely on scraps and knock-downs. I sometimes think he's doing so much running when he gets in a position to score hes too knackered to compose himself. Maybe he needs to manage his energy a bit
  18. To be fair he played up front saturday
  19. Watched Lovelace last night. She had a really tragic life. Forced into the porn industry by her husband. Earned $1200 from Deep Throat a film that grossed $60 mil. Beaten up regularly
  20. We had one corner in the entire match. His one corner was so poor that it made me think we had several poor corners. and he did one great corner last week but obviously that isn' enough
  21. Me too. Its just a pity Whittingham didn't put that freekick either side of him.
  22. That's not summing up Westwood as much as it's summing up our problems as a team going forward. Our forwards were up front and well marked, not moving, and while there was miles of space over on the right wing, where was Lowton? Hanging back defending against West Ham's zero strikers. Westwood dithered on the ball because there was no available pass, and no one was willing to make the move and offer themselves to receive it. Delph might have dribbled past a few guys and tried a shot, but Westwood's not really a dribbler. In fact I don't even know what he was doing that far upfield! It's the furthest forward I've seen him this season. Westwood did finally play the ball wide - to Weimann, who was about three yards offside. The ball went out for a throw. As far as his performance yesterday, I would say "anonymous" is about the kindest thing I could say about it. Where KEA and Sylla gave the ball away at what I would call an alarming rate, Westwood only gave it away at what I would call a concerning rate. His corners were poor as usual. We had one corner in the entire match. He still shouldnt be taking the corners though. Extremely poor at them. How hard is it really to take one. Im sure bacuna could wip in a good one the odd time We're not inventive enough from corners.
  23. It frustrates me that when we demand more from a player, this is translated into us hating him. It's like we are just supposed to accept a player being rubbish. I love Andi but he has been awful at times this season and average for the rest, this is not me hating him, this is me wanting him to perform at his best! Yes there's objective criticism like your and there's comments like "Weak streak of piss" and people latching onto every mistake he does which gets me. He's a young player thats come through our academy and we should back him.
  24. Positives. 1. Investing in redevelopment of Bodymore Heath into one of the best facilities in the Country 2. 130 mil loan to club for investment in transfers 3. Welcoming our greatest ever manager Ron Saunders back to the club after the shocking way he was treated by the former owner Negatives: The title of this thread.
