Yes, I think that is the crux of it.
If Westwood and Delph were top draw we could have a dedicated attacking mid in front of them creating chances without losing anything defensively.
I do like them both and Westwood does a similar job to Carrick. Delph can do what Wilshere does but without the same end product. Most teams play more than two in midfield though.
and they can't go charge him now for unlawful sex even though it was still against the law at the time. Strange one really as they are prosecuting other people for offences committed during a similar period. I read that he rang the police to see if he would have problems and they said no. Unless she has to be the one that brings charges.
The line has definitely got thinner.
The debate has become impossible because failure to participate in the moral panic comes with a lot of risks.
The question I am curious about is whether an audience's response to the plight of the McMurphy (Jack Nicholson) character in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest has changed in these post-Savile times?
In the film/book he is put in the mental institution because he (statuary) raped a 15 year-old girl.
Back in 1975 his punishment was considered harsh and the audience was sympathetic.
So now that attitudes have shifted, do we now think that McMurphy got what he deserved?
Interesting question! In some countries the age of consent is 15 so it would be acceptable in those countries but not America. Bill Wyman was having sex with Mandy Smith when she was 13 yet the police aren't interested in prosecuting him! why??
In answer to your question no! not a mental institution but yes some form of custodial sentence.
He's done that all season. There's been a number of games where he has had little to do then has pulled off a world class save. I think people are judging him on previous seasons. All-round he's a much better keeper this season. He is only a baby in goalkeeping terms. 23 he's got 7 yrs before he reaches his peak.
Szczesny has the best saves-to-shots rate of any regular Premier League goalkeeper this season at 81%. To me he is the best keeper in the country this season by some distance.
Its a thin line though isn't it. Although none of us agree with what villaguy has posted he's still only posting his opinions, Its not a crime as far as I know to have an opinion.
He put one decent cross over in the time he was on. Weimann did more than that in the first 10 minutes. No way should he start. Tonev has that extra pace and shooting power when he gets it right.
First game back for Luna. I think we should stick with him. Don't like the idea of playing a right footed player on the left, never have. It means Bacuna has to cut back inside everytime and he cant play the ball down the line.
That's a scary stat Villaguy. So there could be 1/4 of Villatalk with the same urges. I certainly hope not. Watkins does sound like a very sick person. I believe in our criminal law system though and don't think taking out vengeance is the right way in a civilised country.
We haven't played them this season at Anfield.
Yes i know that. . I'm hoping that the Chelsea game will have taken something out of them and we can take advantage.
