Wilshere and Barkley are different types of players anyway. There's no reason why they both can't be part of the England side for ta long time to come. Its good that there are some good English players coming through after a period where there hasn't been too much. Comparisons with Gazza are a little premature i think.

He selected Herd because he is right footed and a CB. Baker played because both of our first choice left backs are injured currently. I thought Herd was a midfield player but ok. Even so Baker and Clark have played together in central defence before, Herd and Clark haven't and Bacuna has played left back for us.

For me the manager got it wrong today. Although Herd did ok, Baker and Clark are cbs and have experience playing together and the obvious choice was to play lowton at rb ad Bacuna at lb. I think Baker is a poor lb.

I remember the movement. Delph was clear to go forwards and Westwood just turned around passed it to Bacuna. He was incredibly poor today. I nearly had a shit fit at it. He takes a mean free-kick when its in the right area but from the evidence of his crosses from open play I'm not sure he'd be an improvement on Westwood. Lowton on the other hand! Lowton is the best crosser of a ball at the club full stop Yes he is. Its no surprise the quality of our our football has gone down since he's been out the team.

Fulham looked more up for it than we did. Parker and Sidwell bossed the mIdfield. Not helped by the ref with the penalty given and the one clear cut one not given for us.

Herd can't be blamed for the second but the first he's standing next to Clark, what great positioning for a CB! He was massively out of position chasing after the ball like a headless chicken, again, which left a huge gap for Fulham to slip through. Bacuna didn't do well in this situation, he maybe should of challenged Sidwell, but the blame then shifts to Guzan for coming out, there's no need. If he stays on his line, Sidwell chips it gratefully into his arms. And as for the penalty, clumsy? Yep, very clumsy running in a straight line and not lunging in in the box! Ok can't understand why he's cb anyway. Stupid decision when you have two cb's in the team.

Yes i think that could be the formation. No way will Herd play cb in a back 4.So either left back or part of a back 3.

Its a difficult one. A few weeks ago i was certain Palace would go. Sam is messing things up at West Ham and they have a tough run in so woudn't be surprised if they went. Cardiff are on a dodgy run. Sunderland have been playing well but not getting the points so think they will pick up.

Great goal. There was no mention of Chambers who is only 18 on MOTD but he was outstanding in that game. I think Shaw should be in the England squad. He's good enough. To me Cole will be found out. Against Germany he was a ,iiability at times. Hope Hodgson is brave enough to make the tough decisions.
