  1. Sorry but when has Bacuna put in a good cross this season?
  2. I don't but wonder why its allowed to have 3 loan players on the pitch at the same time. It seems wrong to me!
  3. True, but it makes you wonder how good some of the players we ridiculed in the MON regime would seem now. We were spolit. The football was not much better under MON than it is currently. Pretty similar really except we had more width. We were better at home under Oneill, but away we hit teams on the counter like we do now.
  4. Niether has KEA. He's at least one of our 5 best players this season and people constantly bag him. Weimann Gabby done fark all. Untouchable. It stinks. It really does. KEA has been ok. He's come up with two important goals. Delph is our best midfield player but I wish he was able to do his stuff further up the pitch instead of in his own half. We saw an instance of that in the Fulham game. But we need to see more. Not many more skilful midifeld players than Delph in the division.
  5. Spurs bigger than Everton? You're having a laugh. 9 titles versus 2... All in the past. We have 7 titles but arent bigger than Spurs anymore. Spurs' fanbase dwarfs ours and Evertons, they also get more income than both of us and attract bigger name players. I live in London and no way does Tottenham's fan-base dwarf ours. Even the majority of people in Tottenham aren't Spurs fans. Their support is mainly based in the outskirts and places like Essex and Hertfordshire but it isn't any bigger then ours. Don't they have over 20 thousand people on a season ticket waiting list? Add those to a support which is already sold out every week at 36k and they'll leave us behind. We have a big fanbase but apart from glory hunted clubs we must have the biggest proportion of stay away fans. We always have. Back in the Doc days we got 12,000 one week for a league game then in a 3rd round cup game against Southampton we got 59,000. we have a huge floating fan base and if we had some sustained success year after year we could easily fill a ground of 50,000 every week. The recession hasn't helped though has it.
  6. rather better at cricket than football i think
  7. Thats right and the fact he has been no better defensively with Lowton being streets ahead going forward, its a no brainer.
  8. Benteke hasn't scored since Lowton has been out of the team. Westwood hasn't been shit all season.
  9. I think Tonev will come good so I'd probably throw him in against united.. I agree about Weimann but he's a good impact player off the bench. Just dont think Bacuna will give us much in that role. I could be wrong though!
  10. Maybe, but if anybody can find a decent creative midfielder for about €3.6m in the European market then I'd trust Lambert to do so. Of course, if he could have done this then surely he would have done it in the Summer but we were linked with players that would never come for such a fee like Kiyotake or Belhanda. Also we need a bit of experience in there to help the younger players. Throwing in more kids is not the answer.
  11. I agree, maybe we can give Bacuna a chance in his 'proper' position though. so he can play loose sideways passes and put us instantly under pressure? Yep if Bacuna is replaced by Lowton then I wouldn't pick him in a more attacking role. His distribution has been found a little wanting at this level. Maybe a little spell out of the team or on the bench is best for now! We have better options for that attacking role! Tonev, Allbrighton or Weimann.
  12. I was just wondering if he does sign a creative midfield player where it leaves Westwood?
  13. Yes I agree with that RunRickyRun. Its hard to see much changing at Perth. Just hope they are brave enough to make a few changes ie. Ballance , Finn and Rankin. If they just bring in Bresnan for Monty then I don't see much changing. Just another bowler who bowls low 80s.
  14. IS it an IE 11 problem because it doesn't work for me on that, i have to use another browser.
  15. spot on, its too easy to say he's not interested and will leave in January just because he's going through a lean patch. Could easily have scored a couple on sunday.
  16. Sounds like Bacuna will drop out of the team for Lowton, I think Herd will continue at CB if Vlaar and Luna are still unfit. If not then i would like to see him in midfield.
  17. Lambert is optimistic his lay-off will be a matter of weeks rather than months. “I don’t know how long Ron is going to be out,” he added. “It’s hard to say, but it’s not as bad as his last one was last year. Things are a lot more positive. I don’t think it’ll be months. “I don’t know about the United game, it depends how he’s feeling.”
  18. Me too but I thought he was our best player and the one real positive to come out of the game. It looks as if he will continue in that role if vlaar is still injured with Bacuna dropping out of the team for Lowton.
  19. was it not more about the space Bacuna left by being so far forward?
  20. Yes i think Vlaar will be out for 2 or 3 weeks at least. Baker and Clark back at cb for me is the only choice. Play Herd in a holding midfield role.
  21. I think it was just down to poor form and Bacuna did a good job at RB at first. Now I think its the time to bring him back in.
  22. No he's not in the same league as Thompson, Lillee or Steyn. Its just that England haven't played him well, particularly the tail who got scared. We stick with Cook. Theres no better opening batsman around and look at the runs he has got in test cricket and he's still only 28. Think Giles will replace Flower soon. Natural progression. Anderson and Swann maybe coming to the end of their careers. You only have so many years bowling in you and Anderson has been playing international cricket for over 10 years. Steyn is only a year younger but he hasn't played as much and started his international career a little later. He played for Warwickshire in 2007 and it wasn;t until 2008 he really brole through.
  23. I like Herd. He's been unfortunate that he has played in a struggling side. I'd like to see him defensive midfield and allow Delph to do his stuff further upfield.
  24. Yes but he's not in the Chelsea team at present and I think it will be a mistake not to take Shaw. Out with the old and in with the new.
  25. Yes very difficult to be as good as Gazza. Best English player since Bobby Charlton!
