  1. Ok if it works on FM it should work for real! Bring it on!
  2. Fully deserved equaliser. Swansea should really have had a penalty earlier in the half.
  3. Hmm that isn't eleven men? Who gets the early red? Oh sorrry i missed Albrighton out
  4. Yes a good film with a good soundtrack. Bill Forsyth directed a couple of classics in the early 80's Gregory's Girl being the other one.
  5. I think we can get bogged down in stats. That table puts MacGill at the same level as Warne. No doubt Steyn is a fantastic player but I wouldn't have him as my best seamer. True but Macgill probably would have been a great if Shane Warne hadn't have been around. Just a very unlucky bowler. Some stats aren't so important but for a bowler srs and wickets per tests are very relevant particularly when taken over a long period of time. Averages and economy rates even the amount of wickets taken over all can be misleading. Just as batting averages can be misleading. For instance Sehwag scored most of his runs in India. But Steyn has taken wickets all over even in the sub continent. Even Shane warne has a poor record in India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Probably why Murali has a much better sr. Sorry i will shut up about Steyn now, unless his name his brought up again or he breaks another record like the fastest to 400 wickets. That will be at least another year though!
  6. Its their total net debt gone up from about 130 mil the year before

    Mastermind

Anybody watch celebrity mastermind tonight with Katherine Merry having Aston Villa 1980-1990 as her specialist subject. I got 8 right, the same as she did. Didn't get the Blues one though!
  8. Sylla and KEA in the centre of midfield. That is depressing! I don't think Westwood offers that much at least kea will put a foot in & Sylla looks a lil scary i don't agree but we all have different opinions. I think Sylla offers nothing apart from physicality. Anyway we all know Westwood will play
  9. Which makes me think that what Lerner is doing is right. Hard and fast is not always the best solution, he is trying to it back at a rate which is also very harmful. One extreme to another. Yes good point
  10. Sylla and KEA in the centre of midfield. That is depressing!
  11. Which makes me think that what Lerner is doing is right.
  12. The problem is not just relegation though is it. If they had of managed their wage bill better like we are doing then they would be able survive being relegated. All clubs should manage within their means.
  13. If everyone is fit I'd go for this lineup Guzan Lowton Vlaar Baker Luna bacuna Westwood Delph Benteke Gabby Torn between Bacuna and KEA but Bacuna needs an opportunity to play right side of midfield and can offer defensive cover for Lowton
  14. NIN - Hesitation Marks for me but I'm not the best judge as i don't listen to a wide cross-section of music these days.
  15. Benteke isn't on anything like 60k a week and Weimann maybe on 15k now but not before
  16. Bolton have announced they are £163.8m in debt after parent company Burnden Leisure PLC released its figures for the year ending June 2013 - the club's first season in the Championship. Thats scary for a club of their size.
  17. Another stat for anyone who thinks Steyn may not be one of the all time greats. Wickets per test. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/story/429278.html Murali top but Steyn tops of all seamers over the last 50/60 years.
  18. I don't know I haven't renewed mine yet. Could it be a handling charge?
  19. I have it on good authority the Benteke actually rejected Spurs this summer in order to stay with us. I would have rejected Spurs too. You can only get so much credit for getting an easy question right. Arsenal? He could move and win the league. That's a harder one to reject. Even if he fails to win the league he gets a lot of goals and Champions League football. I don't think Benteke will engineer a move but Villa could be offered a price they won't say no to. We don't know whether Wenger is interested. They may or may not sign a striker to boost their title chances but Wenger is stubborn and they do have a striker with 111 German caps to his name and 46 goals who has just returned from injury.
  20. It doesn't make a great deal of sense us selling our best player when we could be in a relegation dogfight and it doesn't make a lot of sense for Benteke eiither as he would play second fiddle to Giroud when he has a world cup coming up. The time Benteke will leave is in the summer.
  21. Yes Moon is good. Just saw Sam Rockwell in a single shot. Really good performance and good film.
  22. Yes I think I've seen nearly every Hitchcock movie. The master of suspense. Favs, possibly strangers on a train, vertigo, rear window. Treated his leading ladies like shit though according to Tippi Hedren. and destroyed her career. She did Birds and Marnie and I'm not sure she acted since. Shame how he treated the leading ladies, there's always something. I think Rope is my favourite and all the ones you mention. The 1935 "The 39 steps" was a classic as well. It is also interesting to note that Hitchcock kept Madeline Carrol handcuffed to her costar Robert Donat for hours on end, to create real welts on her wrists for realism in his movie plot.
  23. As long as they are not rushed back too quickly, particularly Vlaar as he's only done light training.
