Not really, Everton always have a lot of possession. We held a fairly high line. The problem wasn't the tactics it was we failed to string passes together 2nd half.

I think he got the tactics right. We held out for most of the game. Our main problem was we couldn't hold onto the ball particularly in the 2nd half.

Yes it seemed more of a tactical subsitution. Vlaar did not give the appearance of being injured but guess we'll find out or maybe not!

Excellent first half. We look very organised. Bacuna has been brilliant. Pity about Holt! With Gabby in the side we'd kill them.

I think the ball will be aimed at Holt and Benteke will play off him with Andi running from deep. I like it. It's designed to expose Everton's weaknesses. but what is their weakness? they have one of the best defences in the league.. especially at home. Distin can hold his own against Benteke. Maybe that is the point, he can hold his own against Benteke but if he is already worrying about Holt then Benteke may get to slip through (or vice versa). There is also Weimann there, so 2 big nuisances to deal with as well as 1 small one. Could work, we'll see. yeah that i dont have a problem with. I just cant see why the need for 5 at the back. We wont have much of the ball to do any damage with 3 upfront and they will just dominate.. and they have enough quality players to get through our shaky defence. I hope im wrong and we dominate and win 5-0 ! Maybe 5 at the back to allow Bertrand and Bacuna to get forward more, if we can get crosses into the box we'll be dangerous with those two battering rams up front. and to counter the threat of Baines. Bacuna vs Baines will be very very interesting

Surely the object of a transfer window is to improve not just to sign players when you're worried about relegation. We have a manager who wanted to sign players. I not disagreeing with you, I'm just going on what Hairy Hands wrote on here. The priority this season is to have a comfortable season then in the summer we can look to sign better quality players. I just hope we set our sights a bit higher than Hoolahan thats all.

No surprise if we don't bring anybody else in, we are in a comfortable position in the league so the urgency is not as desperate as it was a few weeks ago.

disproportionate? the guy has been our best player this season and performed very well in the final third of last season. I dare say to get him to sign a new contract would take around 40k a week. We won't get anywhere by cashing in on our best players just because they want the going rate. It would be a big mistake to let Delph go and would send out completely the wrong message. I agree, its nonsense to say that you can sell your best players and hope to improve. We must keep Delph.

No, Milner is a poor man's Bacuna. He's got a lot more pace than Milner! That ball through to Benteke when were were 3-2 up was sublime.
