I think its a question of quality of quantity in the summer as HH alluded to, so doubt very much whether he will bring in 7 new players. We'll definately look for a left back and a am. i think the manager has almost given up on Tonev. I think he has enough cbs. So I reckon 3 to 4 signings depending on whether Benteke stays or not,

Exactly. The FA Cup is dead on its arse. Ruined by the Premier League and the Champions League Its even deader when we are knocked out!

Just watched prisoners and found it very gripping. Outstanding acting by Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Paul Dano made this film a thoroughly good watch. 8.1 on IMDB which is what I would give it too.

He got fired in his second season at Blackburn so I think that's a failure.

Transitional is the word because long-term he would never be right for our club. He has a mixed success rate as a club manager in England. He failed at Bristol City, Blackburn and Liverpool so there's no guarantee he would have succeeded at Villa.

We'll have more funds in the summer so I wouldn't rule out a permanent move if Lambert wants him.

Yes but what have they done since. Hodgson didn't build his teams with the future in mind. We are a work in progress!

We might hate his as a tv presenter but we were so close to getting Gary Linekar in 88/89 I think. The only reason we didn't get him was the wages would have put the club in financial jeopardy. The great thing about Taylor as manager he was honest and told you as it was.

We were and he chose to go to Middlesborough, but i don't think he was as successful as he was first time around there. Good little player though!

I know the football isn't great at Villa but I'd still rather have Lambert than Hodgson. I doubt whether Hodgson would have done any better with the budget Lambert has had to work with!

I think he was ill first day and he had some injury he was treated for. Still bowling in the high 80s but Johnson was bowling 93/94 mph. Philander has been poor considering his record and Morkel should get more wickets than he does.

Over his career Steyn has been better and will go down as a better fast bowler when they retire, however right now Johnson is hot and i think although the rankings have Philander 1. and Steyn 2, it won't be long before Johnson gets to no.1 if he keeps this up.

He's on his way to no.1. The south african seamers have been below par, although Steyn has just reached 355 test wickets the same as Lillee from the same number of tests.

yes i know he's going to pick Cole but he needs to have his eye on the future too. Will he pick Sterling who has been outstanding for Liverpool in recent weeks. Interesting options in wide positions now!

yes ,means Manchester have the two biggest club grounds in the country. Seems wrong to me when Birmingham is a bigger city. -
Was hoping Arsenal but still think Chelsea even after their West Brom result. Can't rule Liverpool out anymore. They have to play city and Chelsea at home where only us can take points off them. They are dodgy at the back but so are Man City and their strike force is as good as anybody's probably better.

Yes but if you're good enough your old enough! He's playing regularly in the Premier League which Cole isn't.

Should he choose Shaw over Cole for the squad? We have to look to the future and taking Shaw as cover for Baines will be a good experience for him.

Yes difference is Finn has lost his bowling action. The Aussie attack is good but I'd be surprised if South Africa get thrashed like England did.

We haven't really significantly improved on last season. We're tighter at the back because Vlaar has played more games. Most of the summer signings have been a dissapointment which the exception of Bacuna and Kozak, we don't know about Okore. Our home form is dire! I'll be thankful just to stay up and hopefully sign a bit more quality in the summer.
