  1. Westwood has been outstanding first half. Pity we didn't score during our good spell.
  2. No experience though! He may be a good Premier League manager eventually but yes Cardiff is the wrong club and so would ours have been i think! probably championship is where he should have started. That's why I think he would've been a bad choice for us. Lambert had, and still has, a massive task here. I think Lerner recognised this and the Villa job was never offered to OGS. I'd much rather have Lambert than a niave manager like OGS.
  3. I notice Whittingham isn't figuring under OGS. A lot of their goals came from his set pieces.

  5. Yes massive mistake getting rid of Mackay and hiring OGS. Mackay was doing a dreadful job. They got promoted due to the biggest spend ever for a championship side, spent a further €35-50m last summer and still played super negative football while being only a point above the relegation zone when he left. Well they were doing a lot better under Mackay than under OGS. To say that Mackay was doing a dreadful job is very harsh. He got Cardiff into the top flight for the first time in many many years and they were doing ok considering the stress he was working under with the owner.
  6. Yes he is really fired up in this game. Thought South Africa would bounce back. They are not England!

  8. A few quality signings that can immediately improve the team. Be able to string a few passes together. A much better home record whilst maintaining our good away record and a top 8 finish and a cup final.
  9. I think we'll get something out of this game. Play like we did at Liverpool first half and 2nd half at Cardiff we can beat them.
  10. He was good up until the sending off. I agree Ramsey is the better player out of the two and Arsenal have really missed him.
  11. Probably the best team around and against 10 men for 55 minutes or so... Arsenal were brilliant until Ozil missed that penalty with Wilshire running the show but lost heart after that.
  12. Yes Wilshere was brilliant for the first 30 minutes.
  13. I'd argue they would have scored about half a second after the red card, had it not occurred. Without a doubt! Personally don't think it was a foul on Navas and it was a close call on whether the initial contact on Messi was in or outside the box but it was a deliberate foul so justice prevailed.
  14. Yes but I still wouldn't make them favourites to win the champions league. Bayern really turned them over last season.

He hasn't scored as many since Sturridge has returned to the side but he's still playing well, creating goals for other players and winning penalties lol.
  16. I like Mcullum but the fact lower order batsmen were making hundreds must mean either the India bowling attack is piss poor or the wicket was flat. I think Englands batsmen are going to have a much easier time this summer against Sri Lanka and INdia. Trott to make a return!
  17. How does FFP work then ? - so if Randy wants to invest £40m into what is effectively a business - the FA would move in and stop him ? - do you honestly believe that would happen ? I thought FFP only applied to champions league qualifications but maybe i am wrong. In anycase we are going to get at least an extra 14 million from sky so we can afford to spend a bit more than 20 mil I think. Any club thats gets points deducted for investing in players would surley challenge that deduction court - and asuming the club aren't in crippling debt the PL would look to be on dodgy ground. The measuring stick in any case seems to be wages - not transfer fee's - so you could offer a player a whopping signing on fee, but 40k pw wages. I can't believe Man City are within the FFP. If they are they must be fiddling the books.

  19. Is that all he cost. What a bargain!
  20. The two stand out games for me are Man City v Barcelona and Arsenal v Bayern Munich.
  21. I think he's been one of our more consistent performers in the last two seasons.

What big games has he bottled it? Since Sturridge has come back he has played a different role but every game he plays he has an impact in.
  23. We do have Okore and Clark and Baker as cover. Unless we are very unlucky again next season I think we are reasonably well covered there. I just think we need to look at signing less players but better quality than last summer.
  24. I think its a question of quality of quantity in the summer as HH alluded to, so doubt very much whether he will bring in 7 new players. We'll definately look for a left back and a am. i think the manager has almost given up on Tonev. I think he has enough cbs. So I reckon 3 to 4 signings depending on whether Benteke stays or not,
