  1. Sorry but I think Robben is a brilliant player. Possibly the best player in that position in world football. Watch the final v Chelsea again. Watch the final against Dortmund again. MOTM
  2. Sorry but I think Robben is a brilliant player. Possibly the best player in that position in world football. He's a poor man's Andros Townsend. who's a poor mans Marc Albrighton

  4. They beat us They beat us We beat Chelsea. What's your point? My point was that I don't think West Ham are crap.
  5. I think we can relax. One more win and we're safe for sure. We're lucky the bottom 3 are so poor.
  6. 27 this summer so doesn't fit into our pattern of buying players with a sell-on value. No chance we'll buy him imo. Looks to me like we might already have enough points to stay up.
  7. in the away dressing room I think but not him. strange he didn't start.
  8. Poyet the disgusting animal spitting. You expect it from a footballer but not a manager.
  9. They have the look of a relegated team to me.
  10. Yep Con I can see a crazy score-line myself. Was it 3-0 they won at Man City. Robben and Lahm down the right, if Lahm does play right back is such a lethal combination.
  11. If Sunderland loose tonight with their next 4 fixtures I think they are doomed. In fact they need a win tonight
  12. Yes how much interest is there from other clubs in Gabby? I think he's Villa through and through and a good servant to the club but its been a poor season from him. 3 goals would not get you into many other sides in the league. I think we should offer him what he's worth and sign another striker. Gabby can no longer be an automatic starter.
  13. Don't know Bayern ripped City and Arsenal apart in the away leg. I think they will put the tie to bed in the first leg. 2-0 or 3-0 to Bayern. United were poor against us really. On another day we would have scored 3 or 4 goals. Just think how many chances Bayern will create.

    Liverpool

Yes I hope they do it too. Certainly don't want City or Chelsea to win it.
  15. yes and to call it technically an assist is misleading. Chances of a villa player scoring from that free-kick are probably 25/1

    Liverpool

Momentum is a great thing and its all with Liverpool. They have by far the most fire-power. The key are the home games against Chelsea and Man city and the fact they are at home. Also I think Everton may sneak a point off City. Also I think Brendan Rodgers is way ahead of any other manager in the league.
  17. I agree about Pakistan but I would say those three names you mention are hardly t20 players. They have rightly brought in some younger players like Shezhad who got a 100 against Bangladesh. England in trouble here against The Netherlands IMO you should play your best players in all forms of the game. If they are world class they are world class and will do a job for you. I think England have been guilty of trying to get too many specialist players in the team, in the last t20 world cup both Misbah and Khan batted too slow. I think Yousuf was a marvelous player. We saw him briefly at Warwickshire playing on new wickets which wrere unplayable. Neither Trott or Bell could score a run on them but Yousef showed his class. Yes I agree to an extent about England. Firstly we should pick a keeper who can keep. Sorry but Butler isn't good enough! Davies and Foster are far better and would probably get as many runs. But you wouldn't pick Cook, Bell and Trott in t20 would you? Bell was there but Giles didn't pick him. We need more mystery spinners in our game. Our spinners are crap now Swann has retired.

  19. I would have to favour India myself. Pakistan are dangerous because of their bowlers and if Akmal or Afridi come off with the bat who knows. Sri Lanka v India final though!

    Liverpool

For me, its because Liverpool and Man U were always the big teams when I was growing up. They have the heritage, history, trophies, famous old stadiums and I guess they belong at the top in my mind. Man City on the other hand are just a rich Arab's plaything. They've just thrown money at the 'project' and its won them trophies. Almost like a chavvy lotto winner moving into Knightsbridge, they don't belong there. What i've written is very subjective to myself but that is how i see it. I know football has changed over the years and if Villa were taken over by a rich Russian or Saudi then i'd probably love it, but who said opinions in football need to be consistent. Same here. Liverpool were lowly second division club until Shankly built them up. So they were a big club even before money took over the game. United the same, the Busby babes and all that. City did have a period under Mercer and Allison where they won the league but until the rich arabs came along they were smaller than us and thats why I begrudge them.

    Liverpool

Its amazing that over the two games we've played against them its only 3-2 and we were unlucky in both games really. No Suarez at Villa Park made a difference though.
  22. I think 4-0 flattered Spurs. When you attack as much as Liverpool you are bound to leave yourself vunerable at the back. The momentum is all with them isn't it!
  23. As good a player as we've had in the Premier League i think. He's playing a different game to everybody else.
