  1. Unless there are drastic changes then probably next season. Especially if Bentake misses a lot of games at the start of the season. He may not even come back all guns blazing after such a serious injury. He might loose some of his pace if and when he does come back. Its possible he will never be the same player. Unless we sign another striker or a really good number 10. In a funny sort of way I don't want Grant Holt to do too well because the last thing we want is him leading the attack next season. If that happens I can see us getting relegated. You don't want our only fit experienced striker to do well when we're still not out of the relegation battle? How utterly ridiculous. you missed out the adjective, it makes all the difference to what i meant.

  3. Its possible he will break down completely under the cross examination from Nel and admit it.
  4. you mean before the reeva steenkamp killing because he's never claimed he accidently shot through the bathroom door.
  5. I don't think he's coming over well at all. He's not answering the questions, he's always on the defensive and putting on this weak helpless voice.
  6. Don't matter. The investigation and prosecution have been a shambles. They can't prove anything so lying or not Oscar walks. What is there to prove? Intent? She's dead, he shot her to death, surely that deserves punishment whether he believes he meant it or not. He also said that he didn't meant to kill anybody let alone her, in which case why 3 shots through a door? He has to be found guilty of something. unfortunately not
  7. Great! Gerrard fair enough, he's had a fantastic season in his new defensive midfield position.
  8. after watching him tonight i hope not, he was terribly off the pace. There are much better options in midfield now.
  9. I think over the two legs Chelsea deserved it really. PSG setout to defend a 3-1 lead. I'm sure Bayern will go through so Chelsea will be underdogs, but they have been there before. I wonder if lightening can strike twice.

    Jose Mourinho

Had a little bet on Chelsea because i always fancied they would overturn a 3-1 defecit.
  11. You thought wrong! Unfortunately. That was a rule before though, wasn't it? Never in Europe no!
  12. Yes that is a large part of the defence but its not a trial by jury so it won't have the same effect on a lady judge.
  13. I thought he could only be tried on the murder charge so if found not guilty of that then he can't be convicted of a lesser crime. Its in a previous post on here.
  14. Stupid timing imo. It will be amusing if they loose their last 5 games and go down. Afterall they don't like us and were churlish not to let Hoolahan sign for us. On the other hand we'll miss the 6 points a season.

Was it Blues we played in the semis Veloman or was it earlier we played them? I know Francis was in the Blues team and maybe Burns. Can only remember the Liverpool two legged final tbf Did both Little and Gidman make their debuts in the same game? Anybody remember Frank Pimblett, not from that youth team but made his debut at Norwich in 75 and was brilliant but then never played for us again.

Yes it was a more level playing field though!
  17. I do like Sherwood's , match interviews. Its refreshing to listen to a manager be so open and honest instead of the tedium we get from Mourninho and our own manager.
  18. funny thing I thought that film was ok but felt the same way about Drive which everybody on here loves. I prefer Gosling's earlier stuff. The believer, Half nelson, United states of leyland, stay, lars and the real girl, fractrure. Was a big fan of his but find it hard to watch him now. Anybody seen the film "Would you rather" made me think a lot about what choices i would make in that situation. Good film but has low imdb rating.
  19. Such Tragedy in that family. I don;t know much about her or her life but my heart goes out to her father and rest of her family and friends rip

Totally agree. Little is my all time Villa hero. I used to love watching him play. Such a shame his playing career was cut short. I think i was about 8 when I saw the 72 FA Youth cup winning team. Little, Gidman, Bobby Macdonald, our youngest ever footballer Jimmy Brown 15 when he made his villa debut,

You can relive that run in the league cup final here, at 3.15 (although the whole clip is very enjoyable! - quite poor quality images, though) Great memories. Little, Gray and Deehan what a front 3 they were that season, For me Little was one of the best players we ever had. If it wasn't for injuries who knows what he might have achieved. Mortimer, Cropley, a young Cowans, Gidman as well. That was my favourite Villa team ever.

sums up football fans as well I'm afraid.
  23. I agree, that fixture list is incredibly soft. and Everton have got to play United and City. Still its in there own hands.
  24. Yep Fulham or Norwich for the other spot
  25. Yeh we're fortunate the bottom 3 are so poor really.
