  1. Regarding the libdems, its all very well wanting Clegg replaced but they are dead unless they get out of the coalition now. Don't wait until next year because the ship will have sunk by then.
  2. I think he'll do a great job at Spurs... Lot of top teams going to be much better than last season.
  3. That is not the belly of a pro footballer.
  4. I'm not sure how they decide but when you apply to attend you are asked fill out a question so it has to be predetermined. I would say the BBC are anti UKIP. Nigel Farage has been on a lot because he's in the news a lot. The former respect leader Salma Yaqoob used to be on a lot too. So they do have leaders of so called minority parties on quite a lot.
  5. Gareth Bale to star in a remake of Deer Hunter in a Sky Sports News exclusive. Christopher Walken like...
  6. The bbc select which questions to use though!
  7. Its the politics of fear, it always works. Tap into people's inbuilt fears. It's easier to do that than try to explain complex issues and humane policies. 'You know who's to blame? It's them lot. Them poor people, comin' over 'ere, taking your jobs. It's them people with even less than you, trying to take what little you've got'. It's a brilliant slight of hand magicians trick, because it takes the heat of the real people who are to blame for the problems we have. The BBC have pushed and pushed and pushed that agenda for years through their news and political output. I don't think its anything to do with that its more of the issue of being overpopulated and stresses on the NHS, jobs and schools, houses etc... BTW I think the BBC were totally out of order in making their first question on QT "Does all the votes for UKIP show that we have an underlying racist problem in this country" something like that....
  8. Haha you sound like GlastonSpur not acknowledging our League titles from the 1800s Well, to be fair, villa weren't backed by an authoritarian dictator. As far as I know. Doug? Our European Cup may be legit, but the league cups will have to be scratched off. not the 77 one
  9. People don't turn up in numbers unless its a general election
  10. Some will be expressing a considered view about the EU. I'd guess that will be a small minority. Others will be expressing the racism and hate which Ukip is increasingly making part of the national landscape, almost respectable - not yet quite respectable, which is why so many Ukip voters are ashamed to admit it. But probably the largest group is people who are discontented with a range of things, and find it easier to latch on to simple explanations about foreigners and red tape and bureaucrats than try to understand who is actually benefitting from the way the economy is run. Though Ukip would like to think people vote for them for positive reasons, for the larger part it seems to be a negative vote, an expression of concern, unease, and fear. I think a lot of people are just disillusioned with the mainstream parties and fed up with being told what to think. A small minority of the UKIP vote may be racist but largely its down to the fact Nigel Farage says what he thinks and doesn't hide behind this political correctness. You may not agree with his politics but I wish more politicians were like him!
  11. On that photo he does look fat
  12. Its unbelievable the hatred on here for certain people. We don't even know the man!
  13. Yes he probably should replace Bresnan now really. Woakes and Stoakes can fight for the batting allrounder slot.
  14. All these players United are suppose to be after, how many will actually want to go there with no champions league on offer.
  15. Although he had a poor season Gabby loves playing for Villa, no way will he retire, he will accept a reduced contract or like Albrighton move elsewhere where they will pay those type of wages...
  16. Definitely, has the potential to be a very very good player for England. More potential than Stokes in the all rounder slot too. I watch quite a bit of Durham living up here, and as well as he played in Aus, I'm still a bit unsure about Stokes, I don't think he's as good a batsman as Stokes or Woakes
  17. Well it will be a massive boost for England if a player of Suarez's talent misses the world cup. It increases our chances of qualification massively. But he's very durable I expect him to be fit.
  18. Me, just above you They haven't a hope next season. This was their one shot due to a perfect storm of things going perfectly for them, and they blew it with regards to the title. They did, however, manage to get their CL spot, but I genuinely can't see them picking up more points over the course of next season than any of the other 4. City are City, Jose will improve Chelsea, United will be back in there, and Arsenal are only a couple of player short of being real contenders. They only finished 7 points off the top, after all. You really don't know that though! Liverpool will strengthen there squad and theres no certainty that United will get into the top 4 next season.
  19. Wow, that was some bleak listening. The best I have heard from Lambert though! Very honest and said the right things...
  20. It must be terrible for Toure. I feel so sorry for him. People dying and without homes in the Balkans and he's upset about that he didn't get more attention on his birthday.... Shows how detached from really life these footballers are.
  21. Yes he's had a few good games and we give him a 4 year contract worth 6 or 7 mil and he falls back into the player he has been the last 2 or 3 years and we are stuck with someone else we cant get rid of. I like Albrighton, he's a trier but he really isn't that good is he.
  22. Massive difference between Cahill and Albrighton. I don't see Albrighton as a future England player.
  23. 35k a week. Let him go! He's not that good and he's injury prone....
  24. Entering the French Open I don't think Nadal is so dominant on clay now. If Djokovic plays his best theres nothing Nadal can do. He's just got the beating of him now. Good that he is using his status to bring awareness to the disaster that is happening in Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia...
