  1. Much easier than i expected for Djokovic
  2. well done you called that right!
  3. Nah I think cricket would be boring if everybody bowled the same way. I'm all for different bowling styles. Bent arm bowlers and round arm bowlers...Why should everything be in teh batsmans favour? We had the thing from Broad commenting on Ajmals action when he took 13 wickets in a game for Worcester. Lets encourage diversity in the game....
  4. Well he had a chance to win the first set tie break. Tsonga vs Djokovic should a be a cracking match. Djokovic to win in 4 I think. Murray just came through his match.
  5. To be fair we were out of that game but for an astonishing innings from Butler. Theres a few areas of concern with the England side. 1. We don't have wicket taking bowlers like Sri Lanka in the middle overs 2. We reallly haven't sorted out the batting. As much as I love Bell he's played a lot of one days games now and rarely produced a match winning innings. Cook's run of bad form continues. The jury is still out on Root and Ballance. A beautfull innings from Sangakarra. Might not be too many times we'll watch Kumar and Mahela play international cricket now. The best two Sri lankan batsmen of all time. Says it all when our no.1 spinner can't even get in the Kent championship side, We are really struggling for spinners. Swann was so good and there is just nobody else.
  6. I'm sure he will put bums on seats... If his bowling is half as good as it was then Lancashire will have some formidable bowling attack. Look at Junaid Khan's figures tonight against us. Warwickshire should play on the flattest of wickets for the return fixture. Lancs dont have a very good batting line-up, neither do we though!
  7. Johnson is a liability isn't he
  8. Don't like the fact he's starting ahead of Sterling.
  9. one of those excellent scientifically accurate BBC vox pops just interviewed a few people BBC: 'how do you intend to vote?'Bloke with bad teeth: 'yeah, I'll be voting UKIP'BBC: 'why?'Bloke with bad teeth: 'don't know really' Further evidence that UKIP are stealing votes from Labour? Labour voters have bad teeth? Nope, according to our American cousins, everyone in the UK has bad teeth My father-in-law, rest his soul, was a Labour voter all of his life, but had no idea why. The only politician that ever did anything for him was Thatcher, who allowed him to buy his council house and to do what he wanted, which was go to work without fear of bullying and intimidation. But the Tories were "for the rich" I loved the man to bits, bless him. He was basically right though!
  10. Yes Joey not looking good with that analogy of ugly women relating to parties.
  11. I'd imagine that will be pretty close to the starting 11. Maybe Sterling instead of Wilshere in a 4-3-3
  12. They will make it worse but Labour won't reverse what this coalition govt have done.
  13. Where would we get 60 trillion pounds from?
  14. And Jay Rodriguez is on the way in! What about their best player Lalana
  15. No you mentioned the Greens were ignored by the media. Anyway wasn't it Miliband who raised concerns about Labour's results in the local and EU elections and recognsises he has a big fight on his hands if Labour are to win a majority in the next election....
  16. Depends on what spin you put on the results. UKIP gained 128 seats, The Green party gained 15 seats.
  17. I think they have learnt and picked the right man this time.
  18. It was more than a good job Con it was remarkable what he did with Palace in such a short period of time. Overrated nope. He did a great job at Stoke for many years.
  19. I blame the abolition of the maximum wage in 1961 £20 a week was enough for any footballer. Johnny Haynes being paid £100 a week where will it end...
  20. Absolutely, and it's depressing. From people regurgitating baseless "facts" about one party or another, to the hilariously bad attempts by all parties to try and use Twitter. When George Orwell wrote 1984, the made up facts and stats he foresaw, and the screens where everybody could see every detail of your movements was clearly Facebook, except we do it out of choice. Yes Orwell wrote that book in the 40s while in the advanced stages of TB. I would say that big brother is the internet rather than just facebook though.
  21. No they won't win it but they could hold the balance of power just like the libdems did last election.
  22. I think Everton will find it difficult to not get detached from that top 6.
