  1. I think its been high quality myself
  2. No idea, I hope so as Murray is still some distance away from where he was before the back surgery.
  3. i wonder how valuable Ajmal will be to them thus season 3 overs for 14 is quite brilliant in a 13 over game
  4. Sturridge needs to be less wasteful in the world cup matches. You can't afford to miss those chances. Overall it was a decent workout. Barkley is an inpressive player but he won't start with him against Italy. No manager would to be fair..... Too much of a risk...
  5. It was an amazing final. Halep will be a multi-slam winner winner inspite of her diminitive size
  6. Not a lot of quality in that first half.
  7. yes and before then Djokovic had won 7 in a row. Not sure how much the 4 in a row means. Maybe it gives him the psychological edge especially most of those matches were very one sided but there again it is Roland Garros so that gives Nadal the edge....
  8. Yep no doubt he is the greatest player ever on clay and his record at RG is unbelievable. 8 tournament wins but the only player than has taken him close apart from that one defeat in 2009, is in the final with him and if he plays his best tennis then it will be an epic.
  9. Not so confident about Djokovic now but its totally different match-up to Murray v Nadal. Djokovic won't let him bully him and will return a lot better than Murray did. He will hit a lot more back hands down the line. Djokovic has bossed Nadal lately so who knows... We shouldn't be fooled by Murray's battering because despite the media building Murray up hes not very good on clay.
  10. Yeah if they hadn't have gone off for rain and started again next day then who knows... Nadal always starts the quicker....Last year Djokovic was 4-3 with a break in the final set and played a winner and followed into the net so the point was given to Nadal. But for that Djokovic would have beaten him. I think Djokovic has added a bit to his game since last year and the way he destroyed Nadal in the final 2 sets in Rome on clay just makes me think if he plays his best there's nothing Nadal can do to beat him.
  11. Be a real shame if the Ox is ruled out. What are the midfield alternatives? I don't think he will replace him with a defender. Is Lennon on standby?
  12. Yes interesting squad. I fear Chris may be carrying the drinks again.
  13. Neither can I tbh, but at least he is in form (albeit on a different surface) in the lead up to Wimbledon. I can't either but think he might push him and lose in 5 sets. Either way i firmly believe Djokovic will win it this year. He wants it so much and came so close last year to beating Nadal when Nadal was playing better and Djokovic worse.
  14. Nope it be his ranking I believe. My calculations make him 5 and if he beats Nadal he will be 4. If Nadal loses the semi or the final then Djokovic will be seeded 1 at Wimbeledon
  15. Murray on next . Could be a close match against Monfils. Murray to win I think.
  16. Yes I think he's ideal for the position. Always thought he lacked a little bit of pace for a winger or wide man but as a fullback/wingback he should be ideal. I think Johnson is a weak link....
  17. I don't know whether its going to work out or not but I love the man myself. There was no bigger competitor and the players are going to respect him....
  18. I hope the selectors pick Moeen. Tredwell lengthens the tail and he can't get in the Kent championship side. If they go for Samit Patel or even Borthwick as the spin option then that would be ok but please no Tredwell. Jordon for the tests? or maybe Plunkett who has been bowling great this season for Yorkshire
  19. We are a better 4 day side than t20 side. We have a dreadfull t20 record, only reaching one finals day and that was the first one. Good players, Woakes, Patel, Barker. Evans was good last year but started the season off poorly.
  20. Yes its overpriced..... Very soft dismisal Bell
  21. One shot Moeen hit for 6 off the back foot over md off was pure class. Both Borthwick and Moeen are competing for the spinning allrounder slot. With no decent spinner they may as well go that way. Not sure about Gidman. Watched his brother Alex more....Players don't get noticed at Gloucester much. Was Jack Russell the last player they had play for England in test cricket? After mentioning the legality of Malinga's action I see the spinner has been reported by the umpire. Hope he's cleared myself. Its ashame if mystery spin goes out of the game
  22. Listening to Federer in the after match interview once again he's a little disingenuous towards his opponent. Asked the question about the medical timeout he said he didn't look injured but he might as well use it if its in the rules.
  23. Much better from Warwickshire today. Porterfield has made a very good start to the season and was impressed with little Ateeq who found the gaps and gave us much needed impetus at the end of our innings. We will have Malik for the next game which will give us plenty of bowling options. My guess is Webb will make way for him.
