  1. Its a good start. Think Bell and Ali will think they missed out. Don't think much of the Sri Lanka bowling attack though.

Also Jim Troughton's uncle Michael was in it.
  3. Bell has captained Warwickshire Do you not worry that would have a negative impact on his game? I feel Ian Bell is someone who is better off just concentrating on runs. I think he could do it, but I just have a doubt on how it would affect his batting, and also how he'd handle the pressure. Yes it could do.
  4. Ballance gone. He's not a number 3. Nearly time for Mooen. Trying to think if Bell and Moeen have batted together for Warwickshire. They may have done in 2006.
  5. Bell has captained Warwickshire
  6. he woudln't play milner instead, would he? He's fit anyway but I hope Milner doesn't start myself.
  7. Sterling may have played anyway. I wonder if we will miss Welbeck's allround capabilities. Not a fan of his but he covers for Baines well, who is not the best defensive left back.
  8. Most people are going for England and Italy but can't rule out Uruguay as they did reach the semi's in 2010. Maybe they are an ageing team but they do have two world class strikers.
  9. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/tennis/27783277 Gulbis is such a laugh...
  10. I guess on second thoughts, we don't have a creative midfield player and although he may not be the player he was he can still do a job for us in that role and Weimann and Gabby may benefit from someone like him.

His wife doesn't know how he died. I just wonder whether it had anything to do with the horrific accident he was in 10 or so years ago, where he was dead for 5 days or so and months later the blood wouldn't drain from his brain. His surgeon said go home and day goodbye to your kids, tomorrow i am going to cut cut the top of your skull off and try and remove the blood manually. Miraclessly the blood had drained next day... Coould have been something lying dormant in his brain for all these years. Its true not everybody found him funny and genuis is handed out too easily but not in his case. Influenced by the pythons, he connected with a lot of people....I'd put him up there with comic greats like Tony Hancock and Spike Milligan.

Kevin Turvey was so funny. Wasn't it on the Tracey Ulman show?
  13. Complete u-turn from Lambert. Not excited at all by this signing. one of the best talents ever to come from the West Ham academy. But he's well past his best now.

Loved Rick Mayall from the Kevin Turvey days to the young ones, bottom and the new statesman...RIP
  15. Yes he's come on a lot although they did say he may not be as good on grass because he won't have so much time to play his shots, but he won't be broken many times. No Del Potro. Wawrinka could be a threat but he's hit or miss since the Aussie open. A lot will depend on the draw. Murray is ranked 5 so don't know whether he will be the 5th seed. Hard to see beyond Murray, Nadal, Djokovic and possibly Federer although I really don't think he has another major in him.
  16. What odds Wellbeck Might have a little bet on Sturridge
  17. rediculous mate. Its so hard out there. Murray was woeful against Nadal You do know Wimbledon is played on Grass yes? You see it's the belief that whoever just won well win win the next slam that makes me rakes of money betting on the sport. It was your point that neither of these will win Wimbledon that I am disagreeing with. Federer will not win it. Murray has a chance but he's not back 100% from his back surgery. I think this defeat will effect Djokovic big time. He is the most consistent player around and wins most of the atp 1000 events but he keeps losing in slams finals. Fancy him to reach the Wimbledon final but not sure he will win it. Don't think there was that must in it today. Djokovic just made too many mistakes at key times...
  18. rediculous mate. Its so hard out there. Murray was woeful against Nadal
  19. Yes Novak lost the plot there.
  20. Too many missed first serves 2nd set but there is such intensity out there there are bound to be more mistakes
  21. Its very demanding on the body.....
  22. Do you watch much tennis? yep, Djokovic has started better than I have seen him against Nadal at RG before
