  1. Tough one to predict. Will Neymar be fit? Rodriquez the player of the tournament so far. I think Brazil will just sneak it!

English fan ear bitten off by another English fan after the Uruguay game.

Yes it would be hard for him, it would show a level of decency and honesty he is clearly incapable of. He seemingly can't even be honest we himself, he is a quite detestable character and personally I cannot stand him. It doesn't matter how good a player he is he is a repulsive character and he will do something like this again soon enough. Perhaps if those around him both at international and club level were a little more honest with him then he may be able to be a little more honest with himself and admit his demons. If he were a lesser player there wouldn't be half the sympathy or defenders of him and he would no doubt be looking at a far more lengthy ban. I mostly agree with you but we tend to be judgemental about players when we don't know them or what their upbringing was like. Theres zero honesty in football anyway.
  4. Does everybody want Uruguay to loose because of Suarez? Colombia has about 15 X more people than Uruguay so really Uruguay should get the underdog support.

yes they're certainly splashing the cash. A swap with Suarez maybe?
  6. I thought he was their best player today though
  7. What nerves Neymar under all that pressure. Hats off to him. Glad Brazil are through. The tournament needs them.

Yes but he's got himself into a hole and to admit to it now would be very hard for him. No matter what people think about him he will be a great loss to the Premier League. The best player by a mile and after losing Bale, we are a long way behind La Liga now.

Fair play to Chiellini for saying the punishment was too harsh.
  10. Depends who scores the first goal. Mexico were very open against Croatia
  11. Columbia University? I can never remember whether its Colombia or Columbia. don't blame me for loss of memory lol
  12. Saturday 28th June Brazil v Chile 17:00 4-1 Colombia v Uruguay 21:00 2-1 Sunday 29th June Netherlands v Mexico 17:00 3-1 Costa Rica v Greece 21:00 2-0 Monday 30th June France v Nigeria 17:00 4-1 Germany v Algeria 21:00 3-0 Tuesday 1st July Argentina v Switzerland 17:00 2-1 Belgium v USA 21:00 3-0
  13. Pretty easy one to pick.. France and Germany
  14. Brazil I think will edge Chile. I expect Columbia to beat Uruguay but it won't be a walkover. The team will be playing for their honour and will adopt a seize mentality, although Columbia are that much better so think they will come through.

An interesting article http://www.irishexaminer.com/sport/colum...4.facebook A key quote "On Tuesday a fragile man just broke in the industry we all support as fans. He cracked in the pressure cooker we all built. We have created all this for our own entertainment. It’s our fun but it’s Luis Suarez’s existence. He clings onto the life he escaped to, in a wild and primal way. He cracked in the moment against Italy. Can we judge him till we have walked in his shoes? Can we deny that for the past year he has worked hard on himself. He fell back on impulse and hurt himself and his team and his family. He needs support and care, not stone throwers and lame jokes. "
  16. I don't go with this Belgium are boring. The first two games in their group Algeria and Russia both set out to defend and the last one their best players like Hazard, Kompany and De Bruyne didn't play

Lallana a good signing for them or a tad overpriced at 25 mil.
  18. Argentina and Belgium for me. I think that will be a good quarter final. Wouldn't like to pick a winner.
  19. He is a very good server. Didn't see the match. Just watched the last two sets of Dimitrov and he was amazing. such variety. He's going to be the next big thing isn't he.

No I think theres a case that the ban should not apply to the Premier League as Liverpool can't be held resposnsible for a player when he's playing for his country. Liverpool may be able to overturn that particualarly part of the ban if they take this to court
