  1. Was that last wicket the doosra? Great win. Whats that 15 wickets in the series for Moeen. Swann got 14 in 2011..
  2. Hales is not a bad call because if you look at the top 3 they are all pretty pedestrian. Ok Ballance does speed up well when he gets in but Hales maybe like a right handed Trescothick or as you say a Warner and get us off to a flyer.. I'd give Robson this series and see how he does before changing though. We may have to make some changes for Old Trafford. I think Anderson might get a suspension and they may want to pick a left arm spinner. So three seamers with Moeen and Kerrigan. Its what i think they may do at Old Trafford anyway.
  3. Cook made some good decisions today... Very pleased Moeen is making a significant contribution with the ball. Would be nice if Woakes could get a wicket or two tomorrow. No all can not be forgotten AVfc96 but its a new team and theres a lot of positives to take from this test.
  4. The ashes normally sell and I bet an India test match at edgbaston would have sold out the first three days at least.. Having 8 test match venues and this bidding war for matches dictates prices....
  5. Its the quality of the 5 that are out thats the problem.
  6. I agree Woakes has bowled reasonably well but he hasn't looked very threatening and its all about the wickets column. With Plunkett and Stokes ready to come back then he needs wickets second innings... Maybe he's trying to bowl too quick and not gettng the ball in the right place enough times. Also he hasn't swung it much compared to Anderson..Jordan has been awful. Maybe the pressure of test cricket is the difference...No matter what people say about Mooen's bowling, he has a golden arm. Should have had Rahane out for 9 when he gloved it too Butler... impressed with Butler's keeping . He has improved a lot
  7. He played the short ball pretty well the day he batted all day against Sri Lanka.... I've never noticed him having a problem in county cricket with it. I think its just him. he gets out softly at times...But you are right, he will be targetted so needs to just learn how to duck...
  8. Didn't notice that Blandy.... Bells innings was fantastic. Wish Woakes had been given more than one over. He looks to have gained a bit of pace. 87.9 MPH tops in that first over....Dissapointed Moeen didn't make runs on that wicket but you can't have everything i guess..
  9. Yes and thats the most important thing not personal milestones...Its important we win this match because to win the last two for the series is a big ask.
  10. Bell had a bit of luck for a change with the LBW that wasn't given. Hope he can take advantage of it tomorrow... Lets make 550 and bowl them out twice... The rosebowl can be a batting paradise though. Rememeber 2012 on the 4th day when Warwickshire struggled to get a wicket against Hampshire...thus allowing Lancs to win the title....
  11. I think India will regret only going into this match with three seamers and Jadeja... Pleased Woakes gets his chance...Been carrying the drinks too often for me...

    Liverpool

Yes they'll be one of the teams competing for the title....
  13. yes its about time we did...Essex will be strong favourites though but t20 can be a great leveller...
  14. and a lot longer since we've reached finals day... In fact it was the first t20 competition we did it... i can remember quarter defeats at Surrey in a bowl off in 2005, 2007 we lost to Lancs, Sussex in 2009 and then Hampshire....
  15. I agree. We need to get Laurie Evans higher up the order so he can make more impact.... In the games where we have been up against it against Notts and Yorkshire he has been the one to win us the game.....Tough game at Chelmsford. They have a lot more experience than us at this stage of the competition,
  16. So Calum Chambers to Arsenal. Good young fullback. Southampton will be unrecognisable this season from the team they had last season
  17. Her shed was shown at the end but I was given wrong information. Its featured on the next programme. Its in oswestry, Shropshire. Her name is Alison. Sorry!

  21. Yes guess the wicket deteriorated badly final day...
  22. Oh ok i first met him at Edgbaston in 2006. he covered Warwickshire for the Birmingham post at the time but he's moved onto bigger and better things now...
  23. slightly better actor than diver...
  24. I went to school with George. Was that in Somerset? He told me he's from Taunton or somewhere around there and is Somerset fan although he's covered Warwickshire so much I always thought he was a bear...
