  1. Not for the first time I saw a kid who didn't want to shoot in case he got a bollocking during that move. When he cut inside and had it on his right there was a goal there for him, but instead he chose to offload it to Delph. Not the wrong call by any stretch, but I think a Jack Grealish with a bit more confidence takes that shot on and there was the tim before when Delph did shoot when he should have passed it to Grealish
  2. Needs to get up to pace. Not a starter for me yet.
  3. Outstanding first half performance. I thought Weimann and Gabby were great in that period. Overall a good team performance. Excited about Grealish. Delph and Westwood were ery good.

Brilliant. Weimann has been the outstanding player on the pitch imo
  5. Certainly Clarke is having a golden run in one day cricket this season. He has developed his skills nicely in that format, however the potential with Stokes is far greater. I remember the hundred he got at Edgbaston. I thought he was destined for greatness then. He hasn't really developed much though but probably needs time. The bigger problem I have is having Cook in the side as captain. Swann is right! I even think its last chance saloon for Ian Bell in odi cricket. I think Varun Chopra would be a better choice as captain but I'd prob go with Taylor... Also I don't think you need to have played at a high level to have an understanding of the game. Quite a few coaches around who weren't very good players. Sometimes you listen to the likes of Botham, Butcher and Atherton and wonder what they know about the game...
  6. I thought Arsenal might challenge but I agree now Chelsea have a proper striker in Diego Costa I think they will run away with the league.
  7. I do think its pretty ridiculous that James Taylor isn't in the squad. And having Joe Root as the second spinner when Moeen Ali isn't getting a game is bonkers....Even with Finn our bowling attack looks very samey... And Finn is not bowling as quick as he used to.
  8. Is that Paul or Pete? Pete takes a Clarke flag to every game. One Rikki Clarke lol.... He'll be 33 by the time the world cup is on. I think his time has come and gone...
  9. lack of width in that formation
  10. Burnley 1-1 Man United Man City 2-0 Stoke Newcastle 3-0 Crystal Palace QPR 2-1 Sunderland Swansea 2-0 West Brom West Ham 2-1 Southampton Everton 2-2 Chelsea Villa 1-0 Hull Tottenham 1-2 Liverpool Leicester 0-2 Arsenal
  11. In the second half of 2012/13 season I thought he was brilliant but only showed glimpses of that form last season. At Liverpool he was excellent. Seems better away from home when he has the space to in behind.
  12. Totally different type of player to Gabby and Andi though. As they are all about pace and Kozak seems a bit heavy legged to me but is good at getting on the end of things in the box.
  13. If we do get Cleverley who does he replace in the team. It seems to me the most obvious candidate is Westwood.
  14. Edgbaston next Thursday @ 2pm against Kent then.. Best possible draw...
  15. I like Cleverley. If we sign him its a definite stepup in quality to some of the players we have signed in the last couple of years.
  16. Wasn't the internet then or was very early days (as came out around the time we signed McGrath) and no proper message boards like here so hard to judge! I was 9 and was absolutely thrilled to bits that i went and brought ''Shoot'' magazine that had a cover picture of Paul McGrath & Kent Nielsen on People still spoke to each other in the 80's you know ! dunno used to fight more in those days
  17. Wasn't the internet then or was very early days and no proper message boards so hard to judge! I was 9 and was absolutely thrilled to bits that i went and brought ''Shoot'' magazine that had a cover picture of Paul McGrath & Kent Nielsen on There were the radio phone-ins though.
  18. Not at all no but they were when we signed Peter Withe.
  19. Not really mate. I know what you're getting at but Alonso is a 32 yr old who will probably still be getting £100,000 a week minimum I thought about it too but still, Xabi has been great even being 32 years old! Somethings telling me Cleverley is going to be a hit for us. At least I hope so.. true but Alonso will have no sell on value.
  20. Gibson to me is just a one trick pony. Cleveley was very good while on loan at Wigan. an 8 mil bid does show some ambition.
  21. Yep a brilliant bowling performance. So thats Notts, Us, Durham and Kent or Gloucs.... Draw tomorrow... Just want to avoid Notts..
  22. Tough group for City. Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea should all qualify.
  23. Yes its defendable but Essex have a strong batting line-up.
