He looked good. Takes too many risks for my liking though and he had a crazy couple of minutes in the 2nd half where he lost the plot. He has promise though!
Well at least we broke a record 5th straight league defeat without scoring. Those that thought we wouldn't be in for another relegation battle think again.
I think he's been the best out of the front three. If Benteke was anywhere near 100% we'd be winning this. Impressed with Sanchez and Lowton can play a good ball. Cleverly has been crap and Westwood not much better.
Yes I just can't make my mind up what the result will be. I think we might see just how important Fabian Delph is to the team. Without him we are a too pedestrian in midfield.
I can see Trentvilla's point of view about him being a victim of the malaise but I also think he's part of the malaise as he's comfortable at Villa, his place in the side isn't under pressure, yet he only performs a few games a season.
What he needs is to be stretched a little bit, be more motivated. Too cosy!
Agree. I think because we are told we cannot compete with those 'at the top', games like this are seen as the easy ones. I hope we are motivated enough for it.
We were good against Liverpool too.
And we actually did win.
true but that was 5 games ago
So?

In fairness Gabby was a far better player when he was playing under Oneill and we did have Ashley Young who I thought was sensational for a couple of years.
