  1. Yes out of the 5 fixtures West Ham is the toughest
  2. They played crap. I know people love milner from his days here but he's so lacking in pace for a wideman.
  3. I can't imagine what it would be like on here if we lost 8 in a row.
  4. Nah, to be an underachiever you have to have had some ability which hasn't been properly utilised. Lee Hendrie was an underacheiver for example. If anything, Gabby has overachieved to remain a Premier League player for this long when he has possesses so little footballing ability. Good point! and Luke Moore who I think had more talent than gabby is an underachiever.
  5. Yes, and Djemba Djemba wasn't in our first 11. Unless we were playing 11 games seasons back then, which I certainly don't recall. OK my apologies
  6. No but i was responding to the statement that 10 years ago a player like Westwood would never get near our first 11
  7. He made 11 appearances for Villa
  8. 10 years ago a player like this wouldn't have got near out first 11 yet alone be lauded as pure class. how about Djemba Djemba? Westwood is better than him
  9. I think they will be looking forward to this fixture having beaten us twice last season at Villa Park. We may get away with a draw at best.
  10. He was unlucky not to score but I am just having doubts whether he's the type of midfield player we need. Sanchez has lot of potential as our defensive midfield player. Westwood is our best passer and Delph the most dynamic. I'm not sure Cleverley gets in when we are at full strength. You could play a diamond formation but Cleverley is not the player to play at the tip of the diamond.
  11. Newcastle 2-1 Liverpool Arsenal 3-1 Burnley Chelsea 2-0 QPR Everton 2-0 Swansea Hull 1-1 Southampton Leicester1-1 West Brom Stoke 0-1 West Ham Man City 2-2 Man Utd Aston Villa 1-2 Tottenham Crystal Palace 2-1 Sunderland
  12. Yes Delph is perhaps our best player except for Benteke when 100%
  13. He hasn't been as good without Delph in the side
  14. Especially when its Milford Common
  15. Yes but a lot teams these days play 4-3-3 and the wide men contribute a lot more.
  16. Yes and he's not one of those players that will improve with age. His best days are behind him now! Weimann we have a chance of him improving and we know Benteke will get better but even yesterday Benteke was far more involved in the game than Gabby was. Just looking through his record, in the last 5 seasons including this one he has scored 23 Premier League goals Heskey in the 5 seasons prior to him being 28 scored 35 goals.
  17. Thats a good point because without those 4 wins Lambert would have not got a 4 year extension to his contract. absolutely right. I wish we lost those games. What a load of bs. Yes but sometimes you have to go backwards to go forwards. Right now we are in purgatory.
  18. I didn't think he did anything apart from get in the way of a header from Benteke.
  19. Thats a good point because without those 4 wins Lambert would have not got a 4 year extension to his contract.
  20. I actually thought he did ok. As has been said at least he can control and pass a ball.
  21. I agree, Weimann isn't great but at least he makes the effort.
